***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Not sure whether to switch between mouse and keyboard for shooting and the 360 pad for flying and driving. I'll be playing in third person though for sure, don't care how well done the FPS mode is, to me it isn't GTA unless it's played in third person. :p

please please please run as well as it looks

don't want micro stutter/jitter etc could ruin the experience

hoping it will be smooth and great :) can't wait

I agree with you there! The first person was virtually impossible on the Xbox One.

Although, we have all played battlefield with a k&m and that involves flying and driving :P

I am intending to play this with mouse and keyboard but I want to have the option of using a controller so that I can compare them in the driving bits.

Which controller should I buy ?

I'll be in town tomorrow to pick one up, probably from HMV. Should I buy an Xbox or PS one or another one ?

No doubt an Xbox/Microsoft one. Better in terms of compatibility, comfier to me, but that's opinionated.

Cr@p, thats just pushed the price of the game up for me for a couple of extra monitors lol. then another 980 to run 3

I can run 3 monitors on Star Citizen comfortably and it's in alpha. I doubt GTA V would be that much more demanding, at least in terms of being able to tweak settings to maintain FPS.

I'll probably run it on a single monitor to keep FPS up as high as possible but if it's got any sort of head tracking building (TrackIR) then to hell with that I'll go multi-monitor. I doubt it has though.

After days of issues with the RGSC client, I finally managed to download it on my laptop and successfully move the files to my PC with the launcher in countdown.

I stopped playing it on X360 shortly after it originally came out, so I am so ready to get stuck in again!

Glad to hear it, still at 40% via torrent after numerous duplicates.

I haven't played a GTA game since San Andreas on PS2, can't wait. :D

Sold my PS4 copy to my mate today for £20 and just bought it again on Steam, it's the third time I've bought this now :D

I've done ok though, I traded in games to buy the copies on the consoles so it's not like I've spent a load of money or anything. Made space on the SSD's and got it downloading at 10 MB/s. I never really touched the online side of things, mates were never on when I was and I always seemed to end up in the room full of people glitching, trolling etc.

Looking forward to 30 man OcUK carnage :D

Apparently it has multi monitor support so you could run it in eyefinity/surround on several monitors :)

Amazing! I didn't know that. Will definitely be giving it a shot! Might actually set it up like that from the start. :)

Is the general idea to complete sp before moving on to mp?

Don't know about completing it fully but I intend to get a good week of sp before moving to mp, mainly due to the server traffic that will be immensely high, and also so I can get used to the game. Been a while since playing gta

I remember playing it on the XB360. Was SO disappointed. No AA and it felt like 20FPS.
Needless to say, completed it and loved the story. Now..... I'm so pumped for this game. Especially since I dropped GTA IV in about 10 minutes. So this'll be my first GTA on PC. (GTA:SA on PS2 of course).
