***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Guys, bit confused on the initial set up between Steam and Rockstar Social Club. I currently have a 360 profile in there from when I finished the SP game and my characters have over $1.5b cash each.

During initial setup this morning with the PC version it's asking me to login to Rockstar SC and says it wants a 'Linked Profile' which it tells me will be permananent. Now, with Steam I got the bonus offline and online cash. If I link my old 360 profile when I play the game for the first time on PC does that mean I start off with all the cash and completed stats from my old 360 gameplay? If so, this will mean I lose out on the bonus cash from pre-ordering the PC version before the 14th. That correct? I assume I can't create a new Rockstar SC login now, play using the bonus cash and then at a later date swap over to my old 360 profile? Or am I getting that all wrong?

I iz confuzzled.

I'm stuck here to,I dont have an xbox account

Loving this! its so much better than the ps4 version I had.. 60fps makes such a huge difference for me... so much more responsive and smoother. Much more detail everywhere too. Insane traffic and draw distance and looks so sharp at 3440x1440.
Also has anyone worked out how to add your own music to this? I cant work out where to place your mp3's so I can listen to them in game.... do you just stick it in the audio folder or what?

Also playing at 3440x1440 (I say playing - I booted up this morning, did a bench and went to work), but it looked very smooth.

I made a fatal mistake. I opened the game this morning just for a quick run-through to see how it looked in '4K' UHD, as I'm currently reviewing a 27" UHD monitor. It looks glorious! There are loads of elements on this game that really take advantage of the high pixel density - and I haven't even left the first building yet!

Now I want to see more... There goes productivity for the day. But it's alright if I make some lazy notes about the experience for the review, right? ;)

Well it did seem it taken another 65GB to unpack ! They said it wouldn't but it does on Steam... Managed to delete some files & games to get it to fit, its installed now its removed the files & I'm back to 76GB of space...

Do you guys think i can run this on atleast high or higher at 1080/60fps with my laptop? if so im gonna sell my ps4 version and buy it:-

Intel Core I7 4810 @ 3.4ghz
16gb ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX880m 8GB Vram
Samsung SSD

Thanks.

Your SP stats and gameplay don't come across, only the MP characters can be transferred.

So I gather that after the concern that it might be another GTA IV, the general consesus appears that the GAT V runs well, and is a very good conversion from the consoles :). I'm looking forward to buying it now, and moving my character across from the Xbox.

It feels like a game made for the PC imo. Its that good a port.

Do the textures look alright on medium? I had a quick look at the settings last night before bed and noticed that if I put them on high it took my VRAM usage above my card's capacity. I've got a 2GB HD7870, I'll have a proper mess about later when I get in from work , just wondered if anybody had been playing with medium textures and if so wether they looked like ass or not. :p

My card is 2gb and I regret not getting the 4gb. :o

But think I will be happy with medium textures. Tbh I haven't seen what the difference is between normal/medium, high and very high/ultra because no one has posted any screenshots on here. :p
