Yep it is far quicker to go solo, that includes all the prep.
Just completed it in 51 mins.
If they do nerf it they really do not worry about backlash.

However, there may be something happening in the near future regarding remasters??? and we have the enhanced version coming out. So I don't think they are too worried about revenue.

GTA Online is also doing well years after launch, with Take-Two saying the game had more players each month in 2020 than any other month since launch, as well as for the full year of 2020 than in any other year since its launch. It also saw the game's highest participation rate from both new and returning players, and its revenue was up 28% year-over-year for the quarter.

Although i like the solo heist i've only done it a few times as i'm pretty much done with grinding money for the sake of it,
i own all the businesses, got loads of cars and apartments, there's nothing i need or want to buy and have $120mil in the bank,

So now i just want to have fun in the game.. but i'm struggling for idea's though!

I'm now grinding RP as the Peyote plants are back, it's mental how fast you can level up with 5,000 RP per plant eaten,
gone from lvl 224 to 230 in no time :D

5000RP per plant? Well i know what i'm looking for tomorrow!

On a side note , Does anyone use port-blocking to have "solo public" sessions ? Wanting to do some sell missions in peace and the suspend process trick doesn't keep others out for long anymore...

There's a video here worth watching, it shows you how to do it quickly without respawning at a hospital every time you end the hallucination,
also don't bother collecting the ones underwater as they take too long, there is no prize for collecting them all,
one thing that i find annoying though is that most of the time the plant isn't there, you have to run away ~50 yards then back again to make it spawn


as for the solo public i very rarely have people joining my game, and if they do they're no bother, just suspend the process again

Well this sucks :( for at least a year i've had the Unholy Hellbringer, atomizer pistol and the Widowmaker, not sure how i got them possably an Xmas give away 2019? as i know i didn't buy them,
but today i've noticed that they're gone :( has it happened to anyone else?

Not had anything like that but the game has been buggy as hell since today. CTD at various times. I wonder if they did something in the background scripts this morning.

ahh i'm not on the latest session with double cash/RP on Crates, i've not closed my game since yesterday so i'm still on double MC business cash/RP

from googling i saw someone say all there lazer weapons disappered but came back ~4 days later, it was an old post from 2019, so ill hang on and see if mine do,
the atom pistol was great for moving a stuck vehicle, and the unholy hellbringer always went back to 9999 ammo if i switched sessions = free ammo, so i do need these back!

You're right, you didn't buy them.
What happened is that a modder gave them / gifted them to you at some point, probably without you knowing. Rockstar have checked the logs of any weapons acquired illegitimately and taken them off you

I think we are all clear they have been removed by R* but it is a random thing to have happened given everything else they could have done.

The last week has been a very weird week in GTAO.

I got some weapons over Xmas this year, still have them, one was the firework launcher... Did you get that too?

Have been having a few random crash to desktop moments this week too... Glad to see it's not just me, a few posts about it over on reddit too...

Yeah I think if you do not use the fireworks up you keep it. I still have mine.

As said, been a weird week. They have defo been tinkering with bits n bobs. Apparently, they have removed the Packie Mcreary random event (so tough luck if you have not got him for Casino heist) and tried to fix a yellow trigger bug. However, the crashes for some players are constant. This all started from the background script changes last week. Also, it is hit or miss with triggering the scope out for the Cayo heist. Especially from the Zancudo start point. Such a pain as it is a long grind to fly all that way for it to fail.
 
Anyone noticed more patrols on the scope out? I could fly through the gate and around the side several times with no issues, but the gap i was using seems to have been filled with 2 guards facing opposite each other .... Very frustrating. Oh and using the heli to scope out was patched too!

I do it this way as it is super easy and no hassle.

I just had a CTD, that's the first one though and i've been in game pretty much 24/7 for the last week as i've been AFK grinding
