***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Anyone here on a 4670k and 290 claiming to be getting 60fps constantly on full max, can you show me your exact settings please as I'm only getting 40-50FPS

Sorry to bring this up again guys but I can't see the bonus money when I check for it in game in single player mode. When I started the game for the first time it went through everything I think it should including getting me to enter the code and activate it as shown below but I still can't see the cash. Is there something else I need to do?

This screen popped up while I went through things initially and I hit 'Activate':-

Have you completed the prologue? I never checked before but it definitely showed up after that.

apparently its only the pre load that needs extra space, if you re download it today it unpacks while it downlaods

This is the answer i was looking for, I think by the time i mess about shifting 60gb over the lan a couple of times its going to be just as easy to download it again, Infact i could even remotely install steam on my server now download it encrypted and transfer the files to my pc when i get home ?

After waiting over 12 hours for the game to download by Rockstar client the game is now up and running & first impression WOW ! I've gone and stuck everything on ultra and my 290x seems to be handling it ok with little lag .

My question is how does everyone get on with driving with a keyboard ? Shooting on a mouse is awesome but not so sure about the keyboard , is it possible to get pad wired up for driving and then keyboard for shooting ?

Had a quick play this morning before work, did the prologue and the intro driving mission with Franklin. Seems to run quite alright on my GTX670! Will look at what the options are tonight, but I was impressed.

This is similar to me except Im using a 3570k and a 970.

Actual gameplay seemed fine, it was mouse lag on the menu screens that bothered me.

My 970 just arrived and I got the benchmark to run finally!
At 1080p with most things maxed it is very good. Mostly 60 fps with some dips to early 50s when there was a lot of explosions and crashes going on.... I have an 8350 with it though.

I took this for a spin last night when it unlocked as I had to relinquish my excitement before going to bed!

I'm currently using normal textures as putting it them on high was an instant +200MB over my VRAM limit, whereas normal textures, before touching anything else, was sitting comfortably at 1400MB VRAM. I turned a few other things up to v-high, left AA off for the time being, and didn't touch any of the 'Advanced Graphics' settings. So, a mix of high and v-high with normal textures and I was getting 80-110fps during the opening sequence. As soon as I gained control of Franklin I was still sitting pretty on 80-90fps. I want to push it harder as I obviously have enough GPU grunt, but my VRAM was at 1800MB at that point. Will see how it goes though!
