I'm not spending over £300 on a video card for one game so the 970 will be as good as it gets. Surely it'll be powerful enough to run the game really well?

Yeah, it will be fine and you can just knock the AA down slightly and some advanced settings. Just a warning to people who are expecting 80fps minimums that people have been quoting with "everything maxed".

I'm really impressed with how my old(ish) system is handling this. I'm getting 45-50fps at 1080p with a HD5850. Every setting is on High except Textures are Normal. Dropping to DX10 made a big difference for me compared to DX11.

Just created my online person, done the online tutorial, seems great fun!

In SP I drove to Mt Chilliad and parachuted off then decided on a 5 miles cycle ride home at night.

Game is so smooth!

Can't post the video directly due to some minor some swear word, but a guy was basically live streaming during the install/setup process for GTA V and someone used his key before he could activate it fully :o

Youtube code thing for video: pEiyA0cGSAo

I am sure there was a lot of swearing! That is quite a lot of fail.

Remember it's one game. In my experiences with this card so far, it's maxed 99% of all the latest titles I've played.

This game I think at my res, is being limited by my CPU.

Used about 3.8GB VRAM at 2560x1080 with just about everything cranked to the maximum on a GTX 780 and a Core i5 [email protected]. Very pleased with the performance! Anyone with a slightly lower spec machine, judging by the thread here can still get good performance as well. A great launch of a well optimised game. Looks like the delays were worth it!

Your CPU at that clock is nearly as good as it's going to get, there's nothing available currently that would be a huge upgrade, even a 5960x.

OK guys after a little advice before i get home, All my Drives are 120gb SSD's this is going to cause me an issue ? I have it preloaded on an SSD with nothing else on it (buts its 120gb)

Whats my best option to install this game now as when i get home im going to be hit with the not enough space to decrypt :(

Any advice welcome (i have plenty of space on Network drives) or spare space on other SSD's but all of them are 120gb

How do you guys think it will run for me at 1440p with the sig rig? Been holding off buying it because I'd be gutted if it ran like turd!

Would be played off an SSD - not mentioned in sig.

Sorry to bring this up again guys but I can't see the bonus money when I check for it in game in single player mode. When I started the game for the first time it went through everything I think it should including getting me to enter the code and activate it as shown below but I still can't see the cash. Is there something else I need to do?

This screen popped up while I went through things initially and I hit 'Activate':-

Sorry to tell you this but you will not be able to play it :(
It needs 120gb to unpack then reverts back to 60gb when complete :/
And as 120gb drives usually show up as 111gb then you have problems.
I had a spare 256gb drive so I installed steam on that then copied the preloaded files into the steamapp folder insdie the fresh steam install on the 256gb drive. The folder you need to copy is called "depotcache".
You then just install it as normal on the fresh steam install and it will start at 99% and saves downloading it all again.
