***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Arrived home surprised to find a parcel on my bed, opened it to find GTA V box. :D Took Gamestop a day to delivered GTA V from Newry from Northern Ireland to Scotland.

Now install it from Blu-ray drive. Will let you know how long it take.

It took me an hour to install 6 disks but now it's downloading a 60Gb patch which is practically the whole game again:confused:

Managed to fix my microstutter issues by installing Catalyst 15.4 beta drivers and dropping the draw distance scaling to minimum. A steady 60fps (vsync enabled) with almost everything on high or very high. I even managed to get a long enough cable to hook this up to my TV :D

This game is awesome. Looks beautiful too. What do I need to ramp up remove some tiny pixdilation I. E on the player models hair etc

Don't think I am going to get any single player action in at all :D

And yeah as soon as I get to forest/grassy areas, my FPS drop a bit so I'll need to drop some settings, any got any idea what is a FPS hog yet?

On the Rockstar Social site, it has an option to 'Activate Grand Theft Auto on PC now'. What does that do exactly?

PS. I just requested to join the crew. I am Pighardia

going to be 9-10 hours for this to finish DL'ing so i can play it,
if it needs double the space to unpack again like the preload did i wont be playing till i buy another SSD :(

Firstly I need to just be happy with the Nvidia optimized defaults it has selected for my system. Play the game and enjoy it. Otherwise I will be forever fiddling around with settings.

But on a seperate note what does it take to max this out at 1080p? :D

No single card can do it up to a 980.

Managed to join a few races. Impressed with the +20 people races you can do with the highlight racing around the airport at night and noticing the beautiful reflections off each and every taxiway light against the car.
