Can anyone help me get my ps3 controller working with GTA5?

I'm using SCP. Its working fine, I use it for emulators just fine, but for some reason it wont do anything it GTA5? the only thing it does, is if I press R1 + Select, it brings up the R* social club, but it wont control my character or anything.

It just fools windows into thinking its a x box controller, so it should work ok, it works fine with other games. Is there a menu setting somewhere I need to change?

Driving with the mouse sucks lol.

It was so funny when we all got on the same server for the first time, I had been following josh etc. for AGES, could hear josh needed help in the tunnel railway so I came up behind him, rescued him, lost the 4 stars and then I do a massive jump out of the tunnel into a massive rock where Tony, kiwi etc. witnessed our lovely explosion You had to be there to see it! Was so epic!

Re disk space - if the preload and unpack is >100gb anyone know if just deleting the preload and just downloading again is a 60gb option?

Anyone else experiencing problems downloading from the Rockstar client? It keeps dropping to 40 kb/s and it won't go up unless I pause and resume... And that only lasts for a few minutes

Yep, a BenQ 144hz 1440p Freesync screen. It's incredible, powering it with crossfire 7950's getting between 80fps and 120fps depending on what's happening on screen, so buttery smooth though.

Great laughs today with the OCUK crew, now we starting to do missions and races a lot of fun. My crack whore female character needs an overhaul though, shes scaring everyone off when she wins all the races

I walked home on my lunch break to do a quick performance test running great at 1440p (rig as per sig), with some lowered detail I might even get away with playing it on my laptop! (i7QM, 660M)

now for the real dilemma; a girl I am rather into has invited herself over to watch a film and hang out tonight......I'm genuinely torn....how sad is that?!

im hoping so, it has been said on the Steam forums that it works.. im just DL'ing again now but itl be several hours before i can personally confirm it

rockstar social club has been maxing my connection all day today - no issues. Actually managed to get some work done today, I doubt tomorrow will be the same (2 hours to go on the download!)

Turns out I can open the rockstar socal club menus, and controll the curser and sellect stuff with the controller, just does nothing in game...

Any ideas??? pretty sure I've missed somthing simple...

EDIT - tried mapping the controller, but nothing happens when I press buttons... ARRRRRRRRH!!!

Well first impressions, mouse sucks and the POV is terrible especially in first person. Ideally I like my FOV at 90 anyway we can set it via command?

Anyone else getting input lag with Vertical Sync?
