Gym flooring.

where has everyone ordered theres from? I know about the Horse stall matting, any preferred suppliers or places with nice discounts?

I just got mine recently from Arkmat (they supply horse mats but these ones are marketed as gym ones - I suspect the grade of rubber is just slightly less stinky as I've heard the actual horse ones can be pretty potent)... needed 7 4x6ft mats to cover my entire single-car garage floor with. Worked out about £35 per mat and very happy with the results (almost done laying them). I went with only 12mm thick but if I ever start doing deadlifts I'll get some drop bags or pads or whatever as it will be too thin

Yeah, 12mm won’t do anything for even light deadlifts.

For the time being I really just wanted a cleaner floor surface that doesn't kick up concrete dust on everything that touches it... perhaps with a tiny insulation effect and some protection for the equipment when putting it down. Seems great for that so far :D

On the lookout for a rack now but still mildly undecided - being realistic I think a half rack is going to work better in the space I have (which is liable to end up feeling very cramped if I'm not careful). I really like the Strength Shop Half Rack as it has westside spacing but no clue when it might come back in stock

Mirafit got some power racks back in last week, just arrived yesterday along with a bench, olympic bar and approx 120kg of assorted weights. (latter were from Fitness Superstore). Not a massive amount of weights but for someone who hasn't done weight based resistance training for 4 years, it'll be plenty over the coming months.

Now just have to spend the weekend clearing out the garage, that's two days workout in itself.

Clearing out the garage, don’t envy you. Make sure you say hi the alpha spider who calls your garage home :D

Hmm... I messaged Strength Shop on Facebook to ask if they had a very rough idea when their half rack might be back in stock... 3 - 4 months :o

Perhaps I will have more chance of waiting for another Mirafit M3 narrow full rack instead... though part of what drew me to a half rack was the plate storage - I know you can add storage pegs to any rack but would they get in the way when pressing?

I've got the M2 and can only have the bottom storage pins or it messes with my bench press.

Going to invest in some incremental plates. Would like an origin set to match my plates, but the website won’t load for me at the moment. The mirafit set looks great and comes with a carry bag. I can OHP 82.5kg with relative ease and feel there is slightly more there, but 85kg at this point feels like too big a leap. would have course also come in handy for other lifts, especially because I currently round up or down to the nearest 2.5kg when working out my lifts as a percentage of my 1RM.

Yeah they really helped me with OHP (85kg is massively out of sight for me, that is great). I was absolutely stalled and bought a set of fractional plates on ebay. Has been massively helpful to keep feeling like there is some progress. That said I have hit another wall!

Guys, where can I get a Olympic Bar and some weight plates to match. Ideally two 25, two 20, two 10, two 5, two 2.5. With fast delivery... Need a bench too and a rack.
