** Official ** January 2010 Transfer Thread- Rumours & Speculation in here

Bloody hell now Fellaini is out for 6 months, we get one midfielder back and lose another. i can't believe our injury luck the last 2 years.

Cannot afford to let rodwell go anywhere now.

Juventus are targeting Arsenal striker Robin van Persie in exchange for Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo. The Turin club are open to a deal, but would be looking to land either Van Persie, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna as part of the transfer.

They have to be kidding right?

Melo has a really bad first season so they want our best players in exchange.

We will give you a few million for your loss but I cant see Wenger doing anything silly.

Arsenal won't let any of those players go imo, maybe Clichy but I think he'll find form before the season closes.

The really exciting transfer news for Arsenal is Mesut Ozil from Bremen, according to the press he doesn't want to renew with Bremen, I've seen him a few times and he's going to be unbelievably good soon, him and Gourcuff are just behind Fabregas and Messi as some of the most talented and exciting young players in the world imo

Meh, they're the most exciting youngsters on the globe imo, don't really need to say that Messi is better than xxxxx as it's a given that he's on another planet to everybody!

Don't see why he'd leave this early, he's basically turned into a slightly slower Iniesta this season, and he wouldn't displace Iniesta, he must know this. Unless Barca were intending on selling some of their CM's it'd make no sense for Cesc to go, he wouldn't play every game and he would do at Arsenal. He should go there when he's 24/25 when Xavi slows down and Wilshere is ready for Arsenal. Why would Wenger sell him now? He has a contract with Arsenal for 5 years or so. I wouldn't imagine Wenger would sell him yet.

I'd be willing to put money on Fabregas leaving this summer and that's EVEN if Arsenal win the league this season

Fabregas would quite easily walk into the Barca team as whilst it might not benefit Barca or himself Barca would just move Iniesta into the forward three and then have Xavi, Fabregas and one other as the midfield 3

As for Wenger well if the player wants to leave then he will and Wenger wont have a say in the situation

I think Wenger will be pushing his luck this year if he doesnt strengthen. We are going to lose Gallas unless we turn our over 30's (or 33) policy about giving extended contracts.

IF (Big IF) we won the league I cant see Fab leaving this season but I could the following. Its only a matter of time now before he goes and hopefully we get a stupidly good priec for him.

If we dont win the league I think he will stick around to see who we buy and if it isnt anyone impressive and I mean REALLY impressive then he will bail half way or towards the end of the summer.

Ronaldo yes.

Rooney...no.

:p

Rooney based on this season has been better than both Ronaldo and Messi

JOE COLE will quit Chelsea on a free transfer this summer.

England midfielder Joe Cole seems almost certain to join title rivals Manchester United after the Stamford Bridge club humiliated him with the offer of a one-year contract and a 40 per cent pay cut.

Cole is out of contract at the end of the season and had been hoping to sign a long-term deal to stay at Chelsea.

He was stunned when chairman Bruce Buck offered a 12-month deal with a one-year option – even though he is still only 28 and regarded as one of the most talented players in the Premier League.

Cole has made it clear he will not accept such a short-term package, with wages of £36,000 a week.

Such a deal would leave him earning a fraction of what England team-mates John Terry, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole are on.

The decision to offer such a poor deal was made by Roman Abramovich and effectively means Chelsea are happy to lose Cole without netting a fee.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has rated Cole ever since he burst on to the scene as a teenager at West Ham .

Starsport understands United would be ready to offer a three-year deal.

Cole would have no worries about moving to the North-West with wife Carly and their new baby, due later this month.

Manchester City are willing to offer £80,000 a week , while Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is also interested in signing Cole.

I hope this is true, brilliant player potentially world class on his day. Would be a great summer if United can pick up Cole on a free and get Rodwell from Everton

"Neville is everything I admire in English football," Mourinho may have said. "He is the second best player in the world behind Frank Lampard but nobody else can see it. I will shine my light on him at Inter and then you will see his magic."

Not only is that from last year, but "may have said"

Cole is quality. Even though Arsenal have approximately a billion creative midfielders, I wouldn't complain to see him come to us. Definitely what Man Utd could do with though.
