Thinking of buying an Intel NUC and running W7 x64 Pro and XBMC.
Trying out XBMC on my laptop at the moment and can control XBMC using the XBMC app or the Yatse app on Android, what i would like though is a proper remote control or mini wireless kb/touchpad setup which the kids/wife would be able to use.
Anyone got one of these they can recommend?
I set up an Acer Revo for my parents (who are completely inept at technology) this was paired with an Emprex remote.
They had no issues in using it, and have been using for months
Is that the 3009URF?
What sort of problems? I'm considering upgrading the family htpc for the live tv feature, but if there are problems I don't want it on that box.
Problems with choppy video which I never had with Eden, just Frodo.
Did you try changing the audio settings within xbmc? I had the same - any video running about 1fps until I changed my HDMI settings within xbmc as in section 4 of this - sorted everything out for me (also saved me from exploding as I'd just finished modifying everything to my liking to then try a vid. grr..
I've got a question for people using ATV2 with XBMC Frodo.
When I'm playing a movie and exit by pressing back (menu button) it hangs for about 20 - 25 seconds before taking me back to the movie menu. I've tried it with TV Shows and it's fine so not sure what the problem is, I never had this delay using Eden. I only have movies and tv shows on my ATV2 which are stored on my NAS. I'm also using the default skin and no add ons. Running 5.0.2 (4250) if that helps.
I don't have this issue myself. When you installed/upgraded to Frodo did you remove Eden first and then install Frodo or just do an apt-get upgrade?
Noob alert
I have set up my XBMC, just scratching the service at the moment, however on Video playback I get no sound
I have tried a few MKV files but to no avail.
Any suggestions ?
Edit
Would appear it is the same with Music also
I just did the update but I've since followed the wiki instructions to remove Frodo and then re-install. Is it possible to blank (like a format) the ATV2 so I could start from scratch? Or would this involve re-jailbreaking?
