And I assume (at least) the bigger/better melee weapons can harm other team members...

You'd certainly expect a baseball bat to be more harmful than a frying pan or a guitar anyways but guess we'll just have to wait and see.

If you want to do some testing when the game comes out I can wallop you with all the different weapons to see what happens

Would be awful funny if a mis-swung chainsaw resulted in a headless survivor.

wel lit will probably take a few less hits to kill them compared to the weapon melee.

I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out with melee slightly broken then it's fixed later

I think he just meant: thanks for the hours of super happy fun times playing the game, rather than creating the group.

Anyway, I'm sure he will see the light when he hears a few impressions.

By the melees slightly breaking and having to be replaced....

Could be interesting if you do end up wasting all your ammo and are left holding the handle of a frying pan as a result of overuse.

Pretty much. Playing with you,niel and sharpy during the demo was the best times I had in l4d.

What! That's terrible! How am I meant to get immersed in a game killing zombies if my melee weapons don't break after repeated usage. My brain will just be nudging me continually telling me that something is wrong.

Ah well, just have to get used to it I guess

I don't think you can carry a melee weapon and use guns without dropping the melee weapon... Am I correct?

From some of the more recent videos I have seen it looks like the melee weapons replace the pistol(s) (although when in the ground you still use one pistol). You can still carry a main weapon with it as far as I know.
