I'm now coming to lament formatting my computer before christmas and not backing up my ME save.

Not nice.
I only got the steam version of ME1 a few months ago in one of the sales (had the physical PC box on release, but for some reason always played it on the 360), and have been too busy to make my 'perfect' level 60 playthrough. I don't play much on the 360 anymore - so much for all the saves I had on there =/ . I've just started an adept two days ago, and really want to finish today, so at least I can scrape some of the decisions I want through. I'm having to content myself with a fast, casual, 'realistic' playthrough - ie ignoring trivial side missions, in order to get through it.

Unlocks in 13 hrs. Grrrr.

Usually though it can be a bit dodgy, if it doesn't unlock just restart steam.

So I got the shiny new ME2 collector's edition in the post today. Installed and played the opening, shocking stuff.

Had to put it to one side though, only half way through my final ME1 playthough.

Left my comp pre-loading the collector's edition on steam about an hour ago at circa 25% (like Stelly said, I think this might be the first game I've paid full price for on steam too), came back after finishing dinner and it's now on 7%
