To get hold of the collectors edition items, do you need to download them from in game like Dragon Age? Presumably you register it on Bioware social site... Guess that means the port's will be blocked at uni.

You need to register the codes on the Bioware social site and on the same site there's a list of all of your DLC unlocks with direct http links to .exe files to install them. I don't think there's in-game downloader at all this time around.

Love how you can customise your armour now! And I don't know what they've done to the engine, but it looks like ME, but every single thing is done better, screenshots don't do it justice.
 
Wtf, the pre-loading seemed to be starting form the beginning again after stopping at ~25%, I closed steam, started it up again, and it's done lol. As long as I know I've got it, I'm not complaining :)
 
Played for an hour tonight, love the graphics, story seems excellent so far and combat is better too. Shame those achievements keep appearing at the bottom right of the screen...

Achievement unlocked - you have completed the first mission. Big deal.
Achievement added - unlock 5 codex entries. Who cares?

Thats my only gripe so far, makes it reek of console. Don't get me wrong, I love unlocking hidden content and finding easter eggs but these stupid achievements pop up every few minutes.. players hardly deserve a pat on the back for finishing the first mission.
 
Just finished my ME1 PC playthrough. It seems to have worked out quite nicely - at first I was a little disappointed at not having the time recently to make complete/thorough runs. Even so, now all the events are really fresh in my mind - looking forward to continuing it. :D
 
This is ridiculous.
On New Years Eve I didn't have the opportunity to celebrate as I was on my own and had work to do, and so it was a rather uneventful occasion. One moment 2009, next moment 2010.
However now I'm feeling as I should have done then - extremely hyped.
Weird.
Anyway, calm will gradually descend on me over the next few days.
