**** Official Microsoft Flight Simulator Thread ****

Anyone else experience a bug with the ATC where you'll do a flight following or tune to a tower and then won't be able to tune to another tower? The UI acts like it it's an uncontrolled airport / airfield where you have to make announcements on your position.

When I got it working yeah I couldn't believe the difference even compared to a controller. :)

Did you get the throttle sorted too?

I have actually bought a yoke, it's made me want more!
 
It only took me 10 days to get the game installing but finally found a fix for my issue, even though my pc was updated to the latest drivers something was broken or not updated properly, so I ran media creation tool 2004 which meant I could fix windows without losing my apps or any data and now the game is installing so if anyone else is still having problems I suggest trying that.:)

The throttle is on today's to-do list, to be honest I just got immersed in low flying a few cities last night, 20 fps never felt so smooth! :D

As for the Sidewinder FF2, I was considering a refund on FS2020 before retiring the stick, I've had it roughly 20 years or so, and it still feels like it'll last another 20! a fantastic piece of kit. :cool:
 
Caved in and ordered a CH Flightstick Pro and Pro Throttle.

Now let's hope the patch lands before it arrives so I can play it for more than a few minutes!
 
Can anyone help with the fuel loads?

I'm trying to do a flight from London to New York in the Dreamliner, but when I try to use the travel to approach function, it says I don't have enough fuel?

Before the flight, I go to the fuel and weight section, and it normally tops out at around 93% for max fuel, surely this should be enough? And in game, it says fuel at 93%, what am I doing wrong?
 
I need a Joystick, just tried my first training flight and I crashed using the keyboard. :D:D:D

In terms of graphics settings the game decided on Medium.

Spec is a 3700X AND 1080TI

I do believe in game you can adjust your fuel load via one of those icons at the top of the screen during flight. Just set it back up to full or near full and you should be good to skip trip to approach etc. I had the same problem.

I did exactly the same thing, thankfully discovered i had an old logitech 3d pro joystick in my 'PC spares box' and to top it off, it automatically set it up perfect. After first flight i found adjusting sensitivity down 10% helped massively :)
