The latest update is out with hopefully better performance for multi core systems.
Nothing in the patch notes about CPU optimisations.... Maybe they didn't ship with this update.
CPU Optimizations: improvements to CPU threading They held back on releasing in Update #6 as they noticed some risks. As of today they things are looking good for them to be in Update #7, though don’t hold me to that. So far, so good!
Can't wait to see what modders can do over the whole world over the next few months/years!

I’ve got a warthog - not really suited to flying down to nice, but it’ll have to doDon’t forget the RAM (32GB), a 100GB install and a good net connection. Then a decent HOTAS. The game is the cheap part
