Lovely stuff, cheersJust tried it for ya, external view 40-45fps over London but looks buttery smooth in cockpit was 55-60fps again very smooth, no stutters.

F18/C I think in DCS. To be honest it never feels super fast unless your hugging the ground, whilst it can hit Mach 1.8 that’s without any ordinance and even then seems a struggle. 700-800 knots is about the best I can get with some bombs and fuel on board. It’s also slow* to accelerate with what feels like a lot of lag.Top Gun 2 is the F/A-18E, Super Hornet.
I really want a fast jet (proper, not a trainer) for FS but the current offerings range between mediocre and absolute garbage.
Managed to get massively better download speeds by using a VPN and choosing "France"; gone from 0.3 Mbit a second back up to 30; still looking like tomorrow morning though before its ready!
Wow, good tip. Boosted my download to 80mbps. Thanks.
So interesting to see so much praise here and so much whining on the official forum
I look forward to trying it out myself next month when it finishes downloading.
What the he!! happened? Mouse isn’t working on any switches or anything in the airplane!!…Yeah, I’m on an expensive computer so I can run this sim, so get your heads out of your Xbox!…And, this is what I have received for an update? Doesn’t a software company test their updates anymore? Com’on Asobo get it together!!
Yes, one thing I have noticed when panning externally it can render stuttering.I thought this was too good to be true, but there really is an enormous uplift in performance as quoted. It's at least +50% for me! High preset @1440p I'm sitting at 60fps flying low over NYC and Toronto (3060 Ti). I have v sync on, so it'll go higher than that. Spinning the camera around over a city still brings my 7700k @4.8 to it's knees though. So still pobably looking at an upgrade for a 5600X or 5800X in the near future. RAM usage is also way down; I don't need 32GB anymore! JFK airport is also still a real challenge for an older CPU like mine - only getting 40-50fps and still some 1 second long stutters. As above the new cockipt interaction is a bit off.

Interesting you say re vsync, does it now lock out at the targeted range as this was something that was previously broken?
