**** Official Microsoft Flight Simulator Thread ****

Oh man I know I'm being a pain, but can someone hold my hand with changing my computers region to Kiribati? :p :p :p

I can't see it in my time zone list, and I've tried changing it to NZ time, and still won't let me load the launcher

EDIT: Scrap all that, literally just found it :p Must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning :p

Most planes in premium and deluxe are nothing special except for Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
If pilatus pc-21 was on the list I would throw a lot of money to have it.

Dam..Am Trying to workout which version to buy on steam :(:D

Microsoft Flight Simulator £60
Microsoft Flight Simulator Deluxe Bundle £80
Microsoft Flight Simulator Premium Deluxe Bundle £110

£110 for the Premium version is a hell lot of money :mad:

I bought the Deluxe, apart from Heathrow there's nothing I would really miss from the Premium version.

And the price isn't bad when you compare it what other sims offer. You can spend £300 on P3D/XP11 add-ons and it still wont look anything near as good or accurate, and it'll run like garbage.

Ahh just seen you already done it lol

Haha thanks mate, got there in the end :p

I’ve launched it and it’s opened full screen like it’s launching the game - currently just got past the initial options menu and now I’m hanging on a loading screen...

edit: been sitting on this loading screen for a few minutes now without any movement - what are other people’s experiences?

It really depends how much you are going to be getting out of this game. Another £50 is a lot to spend if all you are going to do is pootle round and look at some sights. Detailed airports are only really worth it if you are really into simming and will frequent these airports often. The only plane extra I'd be keen to have is the 787, which will be fine to just pootle round with, but you don't particularly need it. Third party study aircraft will likely be far better than the stock planes anyway, once they are released.

My credit card just bought me the Premium version. I fly a lot to San Francisco and Dubai from Heathrow - often on 787 Dreamliners - so opted for the full package experience. :D

24 gig of 91 gig so far. Yawns and walks away. Considering I have no experience in flying whatsoever except being a passenger I'm expecting to do a lot of auto pilot and especially auto landing. Taking off should be OK. Just in it for the pretty scenery (remembering Flight Unlimited for Windows 95)

Sweet, I’ve restarted the game and now I’m downloading the 91.36GiB now :D

Does anyone know if we’ll be able to play once it’s downloaded? Or will we have to wait until Midnight?

I assume you can play seeing as you are downloading the 91Gig from within the actual game itself.

I'm waiting for those with a 3950x and 2080ti's to moan about performance shortly. My 3900x and 1080ti will have to do (sets everything to medium @ 1080p... lol)

It was mainly the Heathrow airport i wanted..:(

So if you no buy the premium version does that mean there just going be a blank space where the Heathrow airport should be ?

and does anyone know if you can upgrade the standard version to the deluxe or premium version later ?
