I just been googling about the FF2 and there seems to be loads of people that still use them so maybe someone will make a software driver so it works..Sadface. The FF2 was brilliant for flight sims. Think I game mine away in the end.

Getting controls set up is a bit of a nightmare. I have an X55 HOTAS and it doesn't have any default configuration straight out of the box. No mapping option for throttle axis either ....
Why? You know the free upgrade path is still available right?I'm still on Windows 7 until I build my new kit, doesn't Windows 10 have a gaming mode and does it make any difference

Haha whoops. I need a 4950x though by the looks of it. I'll have to look into it but yeah something doesn't seem right. I hope.
So I was curious and just went and tried flying right through the middle of Manhattan in a C172 (daytime, live weather) at 4K and high-end settings.
I averaged around 35 while low flying over Manhattan, drops to 32 occasionally. Low over Central Park saw me drop down to around 30 average with drops down to 24.
I’m using 3900X, 32gb @ 3600mhz c14, 2070 Super and installed on an nvme drive.
So something is holding your setup back, and it isn’t the CPU or the GPU. I’d bet improving ram speeds and timings would help.
Thanks...Sounds like it not worth me going up into the loft to look for it..
(My loft a pain to get up into as it has no ladder so i got climb on stuff)

Does no one make anything similar any more? Being able to feel the pressure on the control surfaces through the joystick, going light close to stall etc...it really worked well.
Also have you tried turning off any streaming features you don't want, live weather etc
I have tried a few times but it keeps rolling back after nearly installing. My system is based on an i5-2500k so I am planning an upgrade shortly anyway, although my GTX1080 has it running all other modern games
But more importantly to me has anyone got track IR running and if so how ?
There a thread here of some people trying to get FF2 working with FS2020You're very welcome mate. As I say very disappointed.
Exactly mate. The pressure on the control surfaces- the force feedback - I'll miss that thinking about it now.
Good question. Do you know /what that rhetoric? I am interested if I can get a different one with the force feedback.
Anyone else get their typed text backwards when putting anything into the interface in the game? I'm searching for an air strip and I type in Maldives, and it comes out as "sevidlaM". Yep, that's what I'm looking for!
Would love to see comparison between SSD, Nvme and Mechanical in loading, I Installed this on the mechanical drive been long time seen load times like this
