**Official MSI Z77 Mpower Discussion Thread**

I/O is IMC voltage. If you leave it on Auto when setting a High RAM speed the auto will be set fairly high to make sure the system boots.

Set 1.05v for default and on most chips upto 2133 and 1.1 for 2400mhz.

Your clocking is with Turbo and Speed stepping enabled. That is fine.

I have 2400 ram and tried them settings 8 Pack but it goes to the windows logo then my monitor says"No video available" again
I have a GTX 295 installed.
I even tried just the XMP option(no overclock) but it still would not boot.

The ram is 1.65v is it ok to push that up a bit?
Still having fun :)

After much testing I have got my problems down to my GTX 295 dual pcb :(
my firmware version is not on the MSI compat list so I have sent them an email.

deuse,
I had a similar issue when I built my new system recently and it turned out to be my RAM.
There was no display adapter shown in device manager so I got some different RAM and this resolved the issue.

Thanks for the info ;)

My problems was down to my old GTX 295 dual pcb :(

If I took it out I could overclock to 4.4ghz no problem but if I re-installed the card I could not use the XMP option.

Waiting got MSI to get back to me but still loving this mobo :)

So MSI can't help with a new bios for the XFX 295 as they don't have that card to try :(

So can anyone tell me if 1.27v on the Cpu I/O is to much?(this is done by auto)I have 2400 ram
I did try setting it to 1.1v(as 8 Pack said) but I just get past the win 7 animation bit
then I get "no Video"

The funny thing is I can boot in to safe mode ok? any ideas?

thanks :)

Good mate thanks. I have not used the M Power for abit as I have been doing 4 card stuff but in general going well.

Would love to see some pics and results when you have them :)

And I have got my 3750K to 4.3@ 1.07v 64\62\65\63C using turbo :D

But if I try anything to get my 2400 work at that speed it won't boot unless the I/O is 1.27  that's unless I take out the 295 then all is ok :(
But still having fun with it. Think I may buy a GTX 580 from MM(replace my 295) and use Lucid.

I'm a proud MPower motherboard owner , but am a little stuck on PCI-E slots . I'm running my GPU in the top 16x slot , but which would be the ideal slot for my soundcard ? My way of looking at it is one of the small slots . with the top being 16x then 8x / 8x , then 8x / 8x / 8x , then 8x / 4x / 4x . which ever full size slot I use , I will be loosing bandwidth ? Am I thinking correctly ? There is nothing in the manual about the small slots . So I'm a little confused please help .

I have a strange boot issue & taking a long time to enter bios set up.
Until yesterday it's been fine but when booting and I look in the lower right corner of the monitor it seems to hang with B4 showing there and this stays on for about 1 minute before A2 appears and the system boots.
I often need to enter set up to boot from a different drive.

I decided to reset bios and re enter my OC settings and it's working fine again.
Now I wonder what could have caused this in the first place.
