Flipping heck!

How many Oblivion Gates are there? They're everywhere, two or three around each town.

The bleeding ememies are getting hard too these Spider things drive me crazy, finally managed the seige at Kvatch though [phewwww]

Theres tons of gates :p I've closed just 25 so far and am still bumping into them in unexplored places. Agree those spider buggers drive me mad, even worse are the storm atrioch things :/
 
The gates respawn infinitely I believe, so I wouldn't try to aim for closing them all, or it might take you a while. :p

Best just to use them purely for sigil stones and netherworld alchemy ingredients really.
 
HELP!

Enchanting

I'm now a mage with access to the university, I'd like to enchant a weapon with Soul Trap but all I get are options for a very limited range of enchantments including Turn Undead and Fire and Ice damage :(

Do I need to know the spell to enchant the weapon? I'm a rubbish mage tbh I'm a level 22 mele orientated charactor so my mageika is a bit low.

Thanks, I'm sure I have soul trap in my spell book but I'm not sure I have enough mana to cast it

anyone know where i can find a spell that damages magicka? need it for a mages guild quest and cant find one anywhere (no there isn't one in the chest in the quest, or at least, there isn't now and its not in my inventory). I've looked in the uni and I can only create one to fortify magicka, not damage it.

Anyone got any ideas?

I had one already when I did that quest (opening the pillar?), but think I just picked it up when I killed a Necromancer.

Sorry - that's not much help is it. :o
 
The scroll should be in the chest, if you have used it already just wait a couple of days (in game) and the chest should replenish its stock. I was having problems with the fortify scroll, kept doing it in the wrong order, so went to do somthing else and came back later, hey presto the spell was back.
 
help anyone know how to get (glow dust) from them (will of the whisp) things?

Figured it out now... phew. You have to kill the blighters then grab their gold dust as it runs away.

Has anyone found the best way to kill Adamus Phillida? I've followed him to the Coast Guard Station, but he doesn't go for a swim - and if I try & kill him in the station itself, I get totally whacked by him, his bodyguard & the coast guard! :(

He goes swimming in the early evening in the pool in the middle of Leyawiin, so you can hit him with the arrow easily then. Watch out if you plunder his body for the bonus, as you'll probably get a bounty.

Must be difficult to get him without all the town guards seeing what took place?

There's plenty of cover nearby, bushes, houses etc. and its going dark so you should be able to stay sneaked when firing :).
 
I have an enchanted helmet thats got 20 magicka constant affect, i am very low on this about 150 magicka and gets frustrating boosting it up, anyone got any ideas how/if i can make or obtain something with more magicka on
 
The best way to get more magicka is to choose a star sign/race that gives you a boost at the start. Unfortunately it seems quite hard to build it up properly otherwise.
 
Hehe finally finished my Suit of the Bovine last night :D
All parts have 125 Feather and I can now carry just over 1000 stones of junk. Just what the doc ordered for those long, loot heavy dungeon trips :p

The upcoming patch which is being beta'd by PC users has the fix for the well known broken fighters guild quest! (Harlun's Watch)
