****Official OcUK Fury X Review Thread****

seriously?
it beats the 980ti with early drivers and new arc of tech in games and resolution I play so its a win IMO.:D

Its easy to be negative it seems for many but checking the facts indicate for me a perfect card for my use that nothing nvidia can offer me seems like a big win to me. What can I say?

Fury rocks:)

Haha, it is good that you keep your sense of humour.

I thought you were just crazy, now it appears you're just delusional.

Nice coincidence that the card somehow only wins in the games you play at your resolution

RRP is £509.

Prices will likely settle sub £500 after a while. It's a worthy alternative.

Gibbo says its likely to go up not down based on the costs :/

£529.99 is the price we shall go to at the end of month based on current cost, were making below ideal margin, so it is like a pre-discounted price already at launch.

Check competitors many are at £550 for pre-order stock. :)

What we all needed was for it to convincingly beat the 980ti to shake the gpu market up. Mature drivers may make a difference further down the line and the usual price drop in a few months time should make things more competitive but at the moment yet again all the hype about this card has ended up with a "also ran" product.

Where is it seen to be beating a 980 ti?

The holistic picture is, it really isn't!

Where does it beat the Ti?

Plus then there is this:

you'll generally experience smoother gameplay in 4K with a $499 GeForce GTX 980 than with a $649 Fury X

Talk about an overreaction!

It's not an overreaction. Last time I checked, AMD hold a 24% of GPU market share. When the r9 200 series was released, nearly two years ago they had 35% of the market. They lost 11% of the market share with the 200 series and AMD being clever have now rebranded the same series into the 300 series. Fury is a letdown on almost every front, higher power consumption, low amount of VRAM for a flagship card. Nvidia offers a far better value proposition, at almost every market price point.

I can honestly see AMD losing another 5-10% of the market share until they release next cards. The latest games being released now are already biased towards Nvidia, benchmarks show this. Developers are already ignoring AMD.

Only a buyout can now save AMD. They can't save themselves anymore.

Its a good card I agree people are quick to jump on a bandwagon. Same for my 295x2 it comfortably beats titan x at half the price I paid for it yet most people wouldn't touch xfire. I haven't had a single problem in the games I play and scaling is much better than SLI.

out of curiosity which games is it that you play?

He also failed to highlight some others were selling current stock now at £519 or cheaper. So I would take everything that comes from there with a pinch of salt. I actually haven't seen anyone selling it for £550 or above apart from...here!

This is bad news for Nvidia fans. More expensive cards for everyone I suspect. I'd the trend continues my next PC will be Intel and Nvidia. Total change from just 4 years ago...

i think Fury X has done well !

it's either 2% down (TI) or 5% down (TX) I'd say for a brand new card that's pretty good.........dont forget that the TX is a true monster and just about the best Nvidia could come up with 6 months ago....

the price of Fury X is now critical ..........i dont need to know its price right now, but if i was AMD i'd be dropping it a lot because if it's dropped far enough it'll sell loads...........i like the card from the other side i think it looks great.
