*** Official OcUK Minecraft Server - Discussion and Rules ***

Think i have the knack but not much joy, useing the old loader it lets me log in and join old but boots me out within a few seconds. Trying to get on teh test server useing the new launcher all i get is this



Allthough it will not let me join i can play the single player on new launcher have i got it right or am i doing something wrong?

**Edit** Ok am in useing the direct connect naturally i dies pretty quickly but how comes i respawn at the bottom of a shaft 40-50 levels down :eek::mad::p:D

i'm not sure why but it seems rerouteing the problematic cables has solved my cable falloff problem. I've tested all directions and two of the drillheads for problems and all seems to be good so far. I might be digging with it for the first time today :D

:eek::D I could use the tunnelling capabilities of your monster to dig my way out of this hole, glad you got it sorted :)

not only have i got it sorted but its just done its first dig :D
I got just shy of 7 stacks of dirt by digging one layer down, so next on the agenda is some way of sorting all the crap it collects, because the ender chest would fill up after digging 5 layers down or across.

the one problem i can see is if this thing runs into water or lava because I have no idea how the frames will react to liquids pouring in

in the foreground you can see part of the temporary logistics system i hooked up to contain all the crap it spews out. I've almost got a diamond chest full of cobble and I've got about half a diamond chest full of dirt. not a lot of good stuff has come yet but as soon as this thing gets down to bedrock it should bring out the goodies :D

The buttons on the iron blocks are my temporary solution to moving the arms about because changing the wireless remote's frequency every time was really getting annoying

Useing the old launcher and trying to log onto server and my build i get the following error and cannot get on



Useing the new launcher to access the test server i get booted after only a few minutes. When i have looked during the day at the live map there are people playing the old map so i cannot understand what i am doing wrong??

I know there is a lot of work behind the scenes and your all running around like rabbid hamsters trying to get everything up n running i appreciate that and understand there will allways be hiccups but can someone tell me what i am doing wrong if anything.

I haz da withdrawal symptoms

That image says to me that you are using the wrong launcher on the wrong server

Anyway the cause of "floating chests" is also linked in with these any BC2 - ic2 item mixed in with another (not sure which as its a nightmare to test) in a crystal chest causes the client to do mysterious things.

So as of now crystal chests are banned if you need to replace just give me a shout and i will substitute your chests with dim chests.

I have the linktartv3 launcher
I registered on the forums ( linktart )
Read the rules.
Made a whitelist request post.
Answered the questions about rules.

When I launch minecraft via the linktartv3 client and go to multiplayer I can see two servers Linktart MC Server and test.
If i try test I get the message "outdated server" if I try Linktart MC Server i get " connection lost, internal exception : java.net.SockerException: Connection reset"

What am I doing wrong ???

The V3 launcher is currently for the test server only. You need the older launcher (link below) for the time being.

Hi Chaps and thanks for the input, yes have downloaded both launchers again am using 2.2 to try and play multiplayer where all our builds are and still getting booted within a minute of joining.
Useing v3 i join the test server no probs and get booted in about the same 1 or 2 minute space.

Its driving me nuts, and i hope i do not come across as an ungreatfull git i just get frustrated because i really enjoy the game and its the first time something has captured my attention in years.

Well if all else fails i will just hangfire for the new server and the builds being transferred ..... though i will keep trying so your all likely to be saying "hey he's in" "oops there he goes" over the intervening period :(:)
 
:DProblem solved i placed my rank stupidity to one side for a moment in order to admit it was my own darn fault am useing ie 64bit and did not have the 64 bit java installed ..... you may now begin the noobish insults :o:o:cool::D:D
 
its not the most efficient code in the world, but all I have to do is type "DigDown" on my redpower computer and the quarry digs downwards :)

does anyone know how to get inputs working with redpower computers? it would make my planned "check for missed blocks" code far quicker to run if i could use a wireless remote to send a pulse to the computer that confirms there are no blockages and it can carry on rather than entering the command every single time

One last thing when running the client you get presented with "an update is available" screen click "not now"

could this be added to some sort of "list of banned items" document on LT?

I can imagine it'll get lost the in the sea of comments pretty quick here and some players won't even know about it. *it's happened before with world anchors*
