@theonejat i personally don't use any texture packs so can't help you there.
The Vanilla server is set to hard mode so some tips would be always have food. If you starve you die.

Make a little build near spawn so you have a safe place to go out exploring from.

Check the first page for server commands.

Jump on and have fun.

How will the multiverse work on vanilla.

Will you have to connect separately to another world or will there be portals like going to the Nether and the End.

Also will these worlds be updated to the latest version and how will that affect the vanilla Overworld which is on 1.6.2 .

If the current Vanilla server is updated to the latest version will there be any
problems with Witch huts and Nether fortresses breaking.

The world as is will be kept and will be as is on the new version yes there will be a portal at spawn to go from world to world. An option would be to give players multi homes that way you dont have to keep traversing to get anywhere.

in regards the nether are there any builds there? I'm guessing it's running low on glowstone want a new one?
 
There is a large Wither Skeleton farm project going on at the moment. Similar in size to the Witch farm.

There are also a few railways going through the nether
And there is a Blaze Farm.
Also glowstone can be acquired from the Witch farm.

fancy trying to finaly build a dwarf palce. of course need some nigher mountains to get more clearance lol

I love the DW Pack tbh. Been playing on the trickery server for a week or so :)

Would love a moon quest server (For all Yogscast are a tad annoying, they do play interesting mods.)
 
I know I went on about it for ages on the old minecraft thread but i finally started my lets play using the DW pack. I am currently doing it in SSP atm but may consider doing a SMP one at a later date to view it link in siggy :).
 
Whoops, may have killed the mod server sorry!

I grew a large jungle jungle tree a little bit too close to my harvester last night and when it had cleared all the leaves my game crashed. I thought it was just my end but checked again just now and its still down. I don't know the exact coords but my base is to the north west of spawn in the maple forest if that helps to get it fixed. Once again my apologies for breaking it.

Haven't been on for ages, and I fancied a go on the Vanilla server but I was not able to see it as available. Is it still on a previous version? Any news on whether it'll be updated at all?
