EDIT: One more thing, what about sticking to 'medium terraforming' for this game:

Medium terraforming

Also known as coop terraforming. The most used terraforming style and also the most unclear one in ways of what exactly is medium. With medium terraforming you don't flatten mountains to suit your building needs, but you terraform those tiles that are needed to obtain fluent networks that will not slow down trains. This is the most used terraforming style on our servers; if nothing else is written or discussed, this style is implied.

Right, just uploading the client and instructions for people! We've not got the bridge one because we can't figure out how to make it work. The other ones do work, so you'll just have to make do with the regular bridges. I'm sure you'll all survive :)

OP will be updated, and will also send an email out through the linktart website thing so it'll do to whichever emails you registered to those with.

There will need to be some learning of all the new industries, they all link together. A few of them seem to actually produce things on their own. You take this to other industries to naturally make them start producing, and then those produce more things which you can take to the first industry in the chain to increase production!
It will require some learning, though if you click the industry, there's a 'display chain' which shows you were you can take the products, and what can deliver stuff to it.

It will all be posted very soon! Paypal me £10 to get in right now and have a year of gameplay before everyone else!

Though I've just noticed that there are currently 29 people registered on the OcUK group on linktart. Since we can only have 15 companies at once, people are going to need to share, so please be prepared to! If you are trying to join and there are already the maximum number of companies, please post here and one of the current companies can let you in! Or if people leave their companies unpassworded, that would be easier! Either way, be prepared to share if needed :)

Ah, that's you? I had an issue if I took too long entering my password.
Max_join_time is set to 500, max_password_time is 5000 which is tons of time.
What error are you getting? A timeout, or do you get an actual error message?

And regarding the map size, we're looking at having 15 companies playing at the same time.

map size seems a little too large for the number of industries. Some of them don't have a suitable industry for miles around

Jury is out about the new trains and carriages and I'm also not too sure about the new industries but I'll get used to it.

it is taking an absolute age to make any money though! not even running full length trains and I'm maxed on my loan and can't make more than two routes! is that because of the slower time thing, or are industries slower to produce?
 
Just a heads up, we're missing a newgrf for vehicles to handle the new cargos, which is a bit of an issue. Tomorrow the server will be going down, the speed will be increased a little from 5 to 4, and vehicles will be set to expire.

The eGRVts grf will be the one that's added.
 
Right, the server has been reset and is back up!
Changelog:
Added the eGRVTS newgrf for road vehicles to transport stuff from the new industries!
Changed Time Factor from 5 to 4. Speeds the game up a little without being too fast for people who can't get on as much.
Vehicles do expire now. Which means no steam trains in the 21xx's. The vehicle list was just getting silly.
Planes are enabled! There's a limit of 5 per company. Use them carefully.

Also, please use a little more discretion when naming your companies. Not to name names, but risqué jokes about truck drivers are out I'm afraid. Its an OcUK and LinkTart branded server afterall :p
 
Great stuff. Will try and get on tonight.

The new industries are good but will take quite a bit of getting used to...just knowing what goes to what. I did notice last night a couple of new ones popped up in the short time i was playing.

Edit - i actually like that it takes a bit longer to make money...as a casual player it means i can log on, build some links and then leave it for a few hours / a day before coming back and building some more with my profits without the fear of being too far behind. I guess it's just down to gameplay preferences.

Yup, that's the point of the speed patch. It seems to be running great now. Though its more of a game that you minimize and check in on from time to time now, rather than requiring a ton of micromanagement.
 
It seems to be running pretty well now. I still think the speed could do with another couple of notches faster. It's almost impossible to get some industries going with the speed it is now. Also, I'd prefer no planes but that's just personal.
