why they changed their mind yet again over weather you can or cant say it as a while ago saying it was ok.

it's a bit crazy, as they should really be taking feedback on the competition no?

like, if say ***somewhere else*** advertised the same product with a longer warranty and 30% cheaper shouldn't we be allowed to discuss this, and they can see why people are buying from other stores?

If you want to discuss the rules ref: competitor mentioning, then please open a thread in the FCD section

or it could make someone who was only aware of OCUK price go somewhere else to buy, cause they saw it mentioned on OCUK forums?

G.Skill TridentZ RGB 32GB delivered

waiting for motherboard rampage extreme i just need to test my toys.

The X299 VRM Disaster

seriously are motherboard vendors just not hiring engineers anymore?

how can they design heatsinks that INCREASE temps by nearly 40c......like...sticking on a simply lump.of metal would be more effective.

glad der8auer called them out saying "do they even test motherboards" because clearly no actual engineer could think a heatsink increasing temps was a good design

looks like it's the asus rampage for me then...

It's not just x299. All motherboards are approached with design over function now.

I mean, seriously, how many people spend that much time just looking at the internal of their PC? Must have gazillion leds so can see from space!

And the heatsink on most are awful for their intended purpose...

surely they could have made it not increase damm temps and still look half decent?

I think the heatsinks are only on for looks now, I'm just ignoring CPU's for now until 7nm Zen+ comes out and hopefully any issues will be ironed out. Intel have really dropped the ball and let AMD overtake them, no idea why Intel became so stagnant letting AMD get the jump on them.

You'll see a massive improvement coming from your current rig.

Never really got the whole rgb craze. I mean sometimes it can really enhance a build but rgb ram, keyboards and the like... Wrap up!

Some people are like a moth to a flame and some quite literally when it comes to x299 :D. Ever heard the story of Icarus :)

It's their marketing strategy, they have too much money so they are steering clients toward AMD.
They have been making tremendous(30% IPC uplift every generation) progress for the last couple of years.
