Hi guys. Read through most of the posts here and really enjoy reading about what people are doing.
I have quite a lot of spare time at the moment and so was thinking about doing live streaming full time for a bit until I get other things in my life sorted. I really want to do it for fun, I'm not really bothered about making any money (although that would obviously be awesome as well).
I'm at that difficult stage though where I have to make a choice between using Twitch and using YouTube Gaming. I'm leaning towards YouTube Gaming at the moment because I can stream in 1080p at 60fps at a bitrate of 6800kbits/sec and the quality is pretty awesome. With the kind of games I play containing a lot of text quality is very important.
The other thing is my hardware set up. My computer is pretty darn powerful so I don't need to change anything on that front. The only thing I need is a really good microphone, a pop filter and a shock mount. I've been asking around on various websites and have been told that the Blue Yeti microphone is the one to go for. I see OCUK sell it which is cool. Should I just go ahead and order it? Once I have that hardware sorted I should be ready to go.
I'm actually really looking forward to getting started .
