Right- stripped out the lian li case of ALL parts.

Now - bed time.

Tomorrow - some case modding to mount the new radiator and installing all the nice new shiny stuff :-)

Hope to have it up and running by tomorrow night and some benches for you all - although it might take a few days to get to a good OC.

It's not just the messed up stock numbers, they're also taking forever to reply to emails. Plus the emails they do reply with are show little consideration or care. I've been a loyal customer for a long while, and I was really looking forward to yesterday and today, and they've completely messed me around. It's almost enough to encourage someone to look elsewhere!

After all my whining and complaining I rang them this morning. It was a surprise, after their half-brained emails, to be received by a very smart and helpful person on the other end of the line. Sorted me out in two minutes, and I'll have my card by Monday :D

This card is outrageous! 2.7 Terraflops of compute power that's just insane, a standard quad core CPU gives about 48 Gigaflops!

To put it simply if you had 15 of these cards (£4500?) working together you'd have more raw compute power than the Earth Simulator http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth_Simulator and that cost 72 BILLION Yen!

That's just incredible, seriously incredible. Makes my 9800GT look practically stone age!

No chance, the problem was a combination of human error and a system that obviously doesnt have realtime stock updates.
I've been caught out a few times with different eTailers like that; basically puts me off using certain other places, if the site can't guarantee the stock is allocated the moment it's in my cart, I won't use them, simple as.

Quick question to those who have crossfire 5870's. Please can you tell me what the microstutter is like in crysis as that will be the game it probably would be easiest to see it in.
Thanks

You asked for it!

That's as far as I have got - stopping for lunch then onto cable management, then plumbing then testing!

Which is what I have been saying since the whole stock control error picked up - calling them up works better than ranting impotently on a forum!

True, but the first time I rang I waited for ages and was still fourth in the queue when I put the phone down... only got lucky this morning by ringing the moment they opened :p

Pics of my ASUS card!

Initial thoughts are that this card is very well made, defintely feels solid.
Puts my old 275 to shame tbh.

All the pics are as followed.
