Is it worth going premium on this? I'm really starting to get into it and do pretty well with the stock weapons.

Id say so, its not a huge amount - I mean you could go for 1 month for what 8 quid?

It will give you an XP boost and 500SC to spend.... this is given to you each month... so you could save that and get weapons or gear etc

I think it's only worth it when you sub for a year.

If you doing it each month, then I feel the 50% XP boosters for 500SC is more value as they last a week.

Finally got dual extended mags for my Bruster Max, 48 shots per weapon is awesome and really does tear apart aircraft to sheds when you don't have to reload so often.

I really love the magrider. It's the most fun you can have in a vehicle in this game I think. Went back to the Vanu character after weeks of playing NC (vanguard) and had SO much fun magridering around.

One of the best tanks/vehicles in any game, imo.

I recently downloaded this game through Steam, never played the original PS - but PlanetSide2 is bloody brilliant! I've only just really got into the whole PC gaming malarkey (well, I used to play PC games ages ago but then went into console games and now I'm back!) and this is quickly rising in the ranks of amongst one of the best games I've ever played.

Is there any sort of OcUK team out there? I joined the Woodman server with this first character (I'm playing as TR), not sure if that was a great idea - I don't know.

Also, by downloading it through steam I haven't reduced the number of players that I can match up with have I? I mean, does it only let me play with others who have downloaded it through steam? Or is steam just an intermediary here and I can still play with anyone who has the game downloaded from anywhere as long as I'm on the same server?

Sorry for all the questions, this is rather new to me...

Nopes, Steam is just the launcher which launches the PS2 launcher which launches PS2 :D

You can run the PS2 launcher without steam by using
"\Steam\steamapps\common\PlanetSide 2\LaunchPad.exe"

There isn't an OCUK outfit atm, there was talk of forming one a few pages back but I don't think much happened. I'd suggest you look at the Woodman outfit recruitment forum (this is the SOE forum so if you have a prosieben account I don't think you can post there), and see if there are any outfits that suit what you're looking for. It's good that you're enjoying the game but I can only say it is even better playing with friends regularly as a team.

Downloading through steam makes no difference so don't worry there. You connect to the same servers as everyone else and probably don't even need to log into steam to run the game.

Keep asking questions, plenty of people here who can answer them. Also plenty of videos on youtube about just about everything (how to play, weapons etc).

The Flash is fast becoming my most used vehicle I think, over 400 kills on it now. Fury launcher (upgraded with NV and extra magazine size), psycho turbo jumps, little resource cost and pretty well no cooldown. Shame it explodes if someone looks at you the wrong way. But a ton of fun, especially if you come up behind an unsuspecting line of infantry.

I've had fun with a Cobalt fitted to my flash. You can use it for sniping infantry with great accuracy.
