Laying three mines in a confined space and luring a BFR into it. It failed more often than it worked, but it was always fun to have a fully shielded BFR just blow up under someone

I prefered to wait until they crouched then just jacking it from under them, turning around and killing them with it

I played as Tilluss on Werner (was in Mercenary's outfit) for about 6 months solid just after it come out, it was a brilliant game. I remember the first time I tried to play I was on a 56k modem (my broadband was only a week away) and everything just froze as I got in sight of the base

Mass Galaxy drops were brilliant, just thinking about it makes me want to play again.

Whatever you do DON'T go back to it in it's current form - if you do it'll spoil your memories of it. I tried it about six months ago and it was depressing, making me lust for times long since past. I swear I get misty eyed occasionally when I think about the exceelent gaming moments with Starwolf and MAP outfits.

PS - the best game I've ever played and the only MMO I'd never touch again - only people who have played PS will understand that apparent contradiction. Hell, I'd even play APB again if it came back online!

I'd buy PS Next the day it goes on pre-order though!

Did the Core Combat turrets come later then? I loved them to bits, completely useless in a fight, but great fun to drive

I only see two ATVs. There should be the wraith, basalisk and fury? No router either

I really do hope it's true, but I have a gut feeling it's not going to redeem of that what Planetside actually was!

It might explain the lack of patches, etc... since the lasher 'fix' a while ago now, but it's SOE were dealing with here so
