The OPRider is the weakest tank in the game... according to the VS.

The magrider is fine, it used to be OP just over a year ago, indeed, but it is definitely not OP now. I'd say the tanks are fairly balanced at the moment on the whole, but now I hear that SOE are going to change them pretty significantly with a new patch

Gentlemen, I have 3 queustions

1) Does anyone play, regularly, with a lot of people that I could join?

2) Does it still take an age to unlock a weapon? Or is it quicker now?

3) Has any further optimisation happened in the last year? Will a 770 4GB or a 780 2GB run this ok at 1080p?

1) Most people here seem to play on the Miller server regularly, not sure what factions though.

2) It depends really, the 1k cert weapons still take a while to unlock but not as long as they used to in my experience.

3) Both the 770 (2GB is fine) and 780 (3GB version) will run PS2 nicely at 1080p, probably not maxed out but most things at their highest settings most likely. I have 2 780s in SLI running this maxed out at 1440p just fine, so 1 780/770 at 1080p should be good.

Cool, thanks :)

Are weapons still locked down per character? As I might treat my self to a few but if I migrate to another faction and lose those guns, then I won't bother playing as that's playing dirty in my opinion.

My 780 runs 1080 around 60fps with everything, except flora, on it's highest setting.
Fog shadows & motion blur are off though.

Note that this is just using the in-game options, not useroptions.ini edits ( if they still work )

I've also capped my fps@60 with Rivatuner to save on heating the card up further considering the weather.

1. Yes, many of us play Miller and I would recommend joining TR, the other two factions are for the type of people who support ISIL.

2. Depends how long you play and if you wish to spend money in the game. If you subscribe at the top level, it doesn't take long to unlock weapons since you can earn 150+ certs a hour or more.

3. I run this on a Q6600 / 6970 at 3600x1920 and I get playable FPS.

You be fine with what you have.

I've noticed less INI around since Pella was outed but I still have no issue with them.

Could be coincidence and exam/summer time.

Thats my bad, didnt mean to stir up old emotions about it... I just wondered as id stopped playing around the time DayZ dropped... and then had a small go again in the past couple of weeks and only found out about Pella and just wondered about my old Outfit.

Genuinely as IWarriors says, even with or without Pella cheating, the INI guys are so organised and knowledgeable about the game that I doubt his personal wall hack would have made any real difference. It would have probably helped him rack up kills and be ready for situations, but I can honestly say at no point did he come across on comms and get us ready for something out of the blue that only a wall hack could have predicted (if that makes sense).

Anyway back to the grind, its tough now not being a member and getting puny XP for stuff.... back when I was a Auraxium Premium or whatever it was called, id be raking it in :(

I disagree recon darts and knowledge may help you in the battle. But when a leader can see the whole war on his head ups map. That's the war basically won all he needs know is some goons to send in. It doesnt help when most of INI are so dam good hes not sending in cannon fodder, some of the best infantry players in the game are being sent into battle.

Its bad enough when we are trying to fight you fairly, what chance does anyone have when you have the best Outfit with a leader who has been caught cheating at PS2 on more than one occasion?

That well placed Sundy hidden on a tech plant push standing out like a sore thumb on a certain Platoon leaders hud. Bravo squad go check here, Charlie go check there... OOOOOO we found it boss...

Having every single enemy squad beacon light up his UI like the 4th of July. Being able to see where the WASP air squad was The MCY ground push, The XDT and 252 infantry flank. Then every single attack you guys are making he can see who is guarding the balcony the back door, is it a decent outfit or a public platoon. Bypassing all the mines, c4 and claymore traps set out.

In any form of war intelligence and surveillance are two of the most important arts.

I totally disagree with the statement by both of you but sod it I try to stay out of the PS2 politics, name calling etc etc I dont want to get into here, this as always been a good thread to talk PS2 and we all seem to get on *even if we are all in different outfits* lets keep it that way.

Side joke
When a BR7 was killing everyone through walls on Miller the other evening the Yell went up Pella is back!!!!!. It made me smile.

Putting me off playing again if someone can hack for that long without being permabanned, makes you wonder how many are at it.

Don't let it put you off mate. I stopped playing for a bit moved servers because of it. But just thought sod it I missed Miller and my friends so go on when there on. If not ill play my Woodman Alt It seems a lot less Elite over on there..

But at the end of the day every game has cheaters. For as long as there's competitive play people will bend the rules, other will go further.

Its once in a blue moon you see a blatant cheat on PS2. They always have been and always will be the virus of online play.

I didn't know it spotted so much and that it showed up on his mini-map, that it showed vehicles, beacons and mines and everything.

I always saw it as just showing infantry.

INI main thing is attacking and holding buildings and since there is only a few ways in and out of these buildings, having a leader who can see though walls doesn't make much difference or changes the tactics in a outfit.

Attacking wise, it will be darted, concussion/av grenaded and then rushed and every member will see the enemy on his mini-map and if they don't, they good enough to know where the enemy are anyway. :/

Defence wise is the same, everyone will see where the enemy is coming least 50m to 100m from the point because of our radar.

Personally, from what I have seen of PS2 hacks on Youtube, I think it be more of a hindrance to Pella then help since his screen be flooded with red boxes, bear in mind INI Elite has took bases against 48+ enemies so 100's of these red boxes flooding his screen can't be helpful.

lmao, are you really trying to defend him now?

Unfortunately, because he cheated, he dragged your past successes through the mud. Personally, INI are very good, but sadly all your previous achievements are now void, that is the biggest sadness with cheats, they destroy reputations of those around them.

To be fair one great leader can make a huge difference to the success of an outfit, and if they are also using cheats then the difference they make will be even larger. An outfit on Woodman called [KOTV] (VS) used to be hugely successful due to their leader "ChickenCurrys", now that Currys has left the game for a while they are floundering around not knowing what to do and where to attack during an alert, which is in huge contrast to the alerts when Currys was online; we (the VS) won essentially every alert when he was around.

Just imagine if he also used cheats, that would've made even more of a difference to the success of KOTV. The same principle could be applied to The Enclave with BuzzCutPsycho on Mattherson (I'm sure you've heard of them), fact is that a great leader makes a big difference to the outfits' success, a great leader with cheats makes a huge difference.
