So spawn somewhere nearby as a light assault and go hunting them :) I detest snipers with a passion, but there's nothing more satisfying than taking out a sniper who's got tunnel vision :D

Part of it was my fault, as i logged in and ran out without a care in the world, then i got frustrated due to snipers and also my own idiocy, so once the game crashed, i didn't log back in and went to do my weightlifting.

Any other day with me being in the mood, i would have gone sniper and stealth to them, or as you said, chosen light assault and flanked them.

I would be more careful where you choose to spawn next time like spawning in a Sundy in the middle of no where is asking for trouble, also zooming in on the map to see what the little dots are doing can tip you off if things are bad or good. :p

Absolutely. And there's any number of different play-styles and roles as well - Heavy, medic, engineer, tanker, sunderer driver/protector, pilot, sniper etc etc.

You can vary the different roles to take into account your taste or need for variety.

No other game offers so wide an array of styles, options and games.
 
Yes, gotta agree on that and that's one thing I like about Planetside 2 is you can choose the right battle for you.

I normally like battles where I can drive my Wraith Flash around and shotgun/fury people to death or spam HE at little peoples. :p

Anyway, does anyone have a problem with that chat box? For example, you press the key to open it and it doesn't open. So you have to use the free mouse button to scroll over the chat box and then start typing in there.

This is very annoying since sometimes I want to say something quickly in a middle of a battle and I can't because I really need the game controls at that moment.
 
We're not 'mostly TR on miller' by any means. There are people of all factions here and from some of the other European servers too.

Pick the faction you like the look of, there isn't an Ocuk clan.
 
So Smed tweeted that they are talking about merging the EU servers now.

They thinking of doing Woodman and Miller and Cobolt and Ceres.

Also Higby the twit has tweeted about nerfing TR again by making HE as useless as HEAT.
 
Do they really need merging? I have toons on Miller, Woodman and Cobalt, and never have trouble finding a fight on any of them.

Maybe with Hossin coming out they're afraid people will be spread too thin.

We do desperately need merges with EU servers, the past few days I have logged in and pretty much just logged straight back out again as there have been no decent fights anywhere. Compared to the Woodman I remember from last year, the Woodman now is, for all intents and purposes, dead.
The only thing that will draw me back to this game for any length of time is a significant boost in the population along with, hopefully, some sort of "meta-game". And at the moment the only feasible solution to the former problem is to merge the EU servers into 2 instead of 4.
 
Remember, you don't need to be running the Steam version for them to work.

Once you've bought a pack :

Find PS2 in your list in Steam ( it'll show even if you don't have it installed )
Click ' CD Key ' in the list to the right side, under LINKS
Copy the key to the clipboard & then paste in into the ' redeem a code ' section of the PS2 store
 
Merging should be good, but continent locking will be even better.

I'd pay an empire to lock Indar. Permanently.

Indar has long been PS2's Cyssorside.
