Well I had a bit of good news today, so I've decided to treat myself

I'm planning on buying 2500 SC, or maybe 5000 SC, depending how the mood takes me...

Can anyone give me a run down of some good gear/guns to buy?
I play NC on Woodman


Infantry
  • Infiltrator - I rarly play the class because I get bored of sniping, so I want an automatic weapon so I can get in there and be all sneaky sneaky, with a decent gun to back me up, rather then just a pistol.
  • Light Assualt - I'm pretty happy with my basic setup here, don't use him much except when I'm Rambo'ing on my own.
  • Combat Medic - My most played class, again I'm quite happy with the basic gun, but I'm open to recommendation on something else.
  • Engineer - Rarly play it, so don't really want to spend anything.
  • Heavy Assualt - I'm using the GD-22S at the moment with no compliants, is the Hawk upgrade worth purchasing?
  • MAX - Only use it for base defence and a bit of AA, so basic setup suits me.
Vehicles
  • Flash - Hah!
  • Sunderer - I already have the deploy function and generally I let other people spawn them.
  • Lightning - I bought the Skyguard already and I'm pretty disappointed with, not sure if anythihng else is worth grabbing.
  • Vanguard - Not sure what to grab here, only thing I have is the A10 Walker for the turret.
  • Reaver - Again I have the basic setup, thinking about the A2AM for dogfighting.
  • Liberator - I would definately like to upgrade this, mainly the belly gun, not sure if it's worth doing anything about the tail or front gun.
  • Galaxy - Rarly used, someone else always seems more eager then me to redeploy to the warp gate to grab one.
Any suggestions or feedback would be appreciated :)

Skyguard on the Lightning
Hellfire Missiles & Antiair on the Reaver


Medic - NS 11 A or whatever the gun is with night vision 1x.
 
Some good games on Miller last night, triple lock for the TR :) Had some sweet TR zergs on the go, tank platoons and multiple squads all working together in the zerg.

Any interest in a Miller TR outfit?

Thursday were getting new weapons apparently and next week some new anti vehicle stuff.

Hopefully at some point we will also get an SC promotion, although that hasnt been mentioned at all pffft.
 
desperatly need a sc promotion 10 quid for 1000 station cash i think it is? seems really steep considering most weapons are 700 thats 7 quid for a gun...

It's £8 for 1000 SC I believe, but yeah it is quite steep. I caved and bought a sniper rifle though, a friend of mine convinced me to switch server and side from NC to TR... I hate the semi-auto rifle TR start with compared to the bolt-action NC have :/
 
i've subbed for the month so just gunna check the "daily" deals every day and just buy stuff witht he 500 station cash a month and only buy stuff when there on sale. i do same with lol when i buy RP only buy stuff when its on sale as it seams a more reasonable price.

also go back to NC! most challenging race out there. everyone seems to be bumming TR. NC need some buffing then people might start coming to NC but if everyone have already got to a decent BR there not gunna want to switch so will depend on new recruits :(

not sure how it works out for you but i pay in US dollars? So 700 = around £4.50, if you get your SC during the double promotion (bound to be one before xmas... i hope), thats £2.25 a wep. Theres always going to be those who think you shouldnt pay anything but then we didnt pay for the client :)

Believe me I wanted to stick with NC, was enjoying their weapons etc more! But alas, my friend wanted to switch... and SOE seem to have annoyingly made weapons, credits etc per character rather than account-wide.

So I'm now part of the flock of sheep that is TR on Miller :P

To be honest, I think we get a crazy amount of gameplay and variety for free. So perhaps it's not too surprising that the pricing is set quite high, as I imagine their conversion rate will be slightly lower than other freemium games.

Fair enough. one of lads i started playing with tried to convince me to start TR but rest of my clan and friends play NC so wasn't happening. Now he plays NC and just winged about how dominated they get :D

I'm glad theres so many people playing TR , more cannon fodder 8) :D

I believe they're talking about making station cash purchases account wide in the near future.

Really? what CPU clock speed are you at?

Also when I say in the thick of it, I mean metric ****-ton of players/vehicles in somewhere like Zurvan it gets really bad (that place has always had poor FPS for some reason, since beginning of beta).

Before some patches ago I had around 30-45 in very busy areas but it seems to have dropped even further lately :( very difficult to aim when it dips to 20-30 - my settings are on high except shadows/lighting which are set to medium.
 
I've got the ultra settings enabled atm and i think it dipped once to 30 which was odd. but was just in one area where i was driving (i posted screenshot in high res forum dirving under a ridge) was around this area me and my mate who were in tank saw a dip in fps.

i usually get 50-60 fps+ in medium - low populated areas and in the stupidly overpacked ones it sometimes drops to 35 which is still playable.
