**Official Portal 2 thread**

Remember, if you have a PS3 you can pick up a copy for that and get the PC version thrown in. Can play across both platforms, and the save games will be uploaded to the Cloud.

Yeah console prices are high but you can sell it on after completing for £30, so its only cost £8.

But tbh I'd rather keep, Portal 2 anyway. Hopefully the online will be good. £24 isn't too bad, but I can't decide whether to get it for PS3 and get the steam copy free or just buy @ £24 for PC.

You can sell it on, minus any multiplayer component.

Console games these days are tied to gamertags, or tied to EA accounts (etc), so re-sale is more and more limited.

I wonder why it doesn't work both ways so that if you tied your PSN account to your Steam account you get a copy of Portal 2 even if you bought it for PC.

How many game hours is the single player expected to be?

Do you have to play with someone else to access the 2 player campaigns?

Not sure how long, six hours was being bandied about earlier but that sounds a tad on the short side since it's meant to be quite a bit longer than the original.

There's probably a system like L4D but, like L4D, you'll be far better off with a team-mate than with the AI.

A decent team mate. You're better off with AI rather than some random player, if L4D is anything to go by :D.

I'd imagine i'll have to get a mic for online play as well. Some of the more complicated puzzles will be a nightmare without mic comms.

because steam are probbaly happy to give you the copy free cause it doesn't cost them much (and on the poc there's no one to argue with that), but sony don't want stream to give you the game free as it costs them their royalty fee.
