**Official Portal 2 thread**

And i dont know how anyone can do this game in around 6 hours or less on first play without cheating, rushing like mad, or googling how to do areas. Dont care what they say, they're a lier and it's just for there e-peen, when in reality they just look like a stupid immature kid to everyone else.

Unless you are a Portal expert, I just don't see how it would be possible. I've played through the advanced chambers on Portal 1 twice and loads of third party maps and still six hours in I was roundabout chapter 6.

I just thought changing the fov, may help to alleviate the unmistakeable console look/perspective of Portal 2/
Could you change the F.O.V. in the original Portal?
Ah well; just starting Level 5.

I haven't got a clue if you could change the FoV in Portal and i honestly don't remember seeing ANYONE express even the slightest desire to. It doesn't matter if its set to 60, 75, 90 or 360, someone will want to change it but i've never seen anyone ask about it. People are just whining about it because they can't even though there really isn't any reason to. You don't get anything from being able to see an extra 8 degrees in each direction at the expense of moving everything on screen 'further back'.

The timer is bugged, it's also apparently the main reason people are complaining that the campaign is so short, they see 2 hours and think to themselves omg I've only got two hours out of my £30 game.

Yeah could be. People have said the achievement timers are a bit dodgy too. According to mine i had a 7.5 hour gap between the first and last achievements (including 80 minutes i was kicked off for Skype). Which would make it roughly 6 hours when it definitely took me closer to 7.

Yes they had story, but none of it really appeared in game. They had the odd wall o' text after some levels and a sort of overriding flow to the levels but thats all. Its not like you ever noticed it between all the killing of random monsters/aliens/demons.

Already read it which is what made me realise the achievement timer was off too.

The 'could be' was referring to the people whining about it taking 4 hours were using the in game timer and are unable to tell the time and not just trolling, which given the ridiculous response to the completely optional cosmetic DLC, is more likely.

I find it bizarre that the Steam overlay and all the stats are not consistent across all games. Why do some games break it and others don't.

Well apparently this problem can happen in all games but I have (not to my knowledge anyway) ever had it happen.

fantastic game, did feel a little short to me tho. I hope they really go all out on DLC test chambers, theres so much potential with all the extra goos/devices they added for hundreds of new chambers

lolwut?

I did it in just under 6 hours, without cheating or googling anything - and took all the time I wanted listening to Cave Johnsons ramblings, having fun bouncing around for 2 minutes when i first discovered the blue gel, and at times just taking in the epic lighting of certain areas. Nothing to do with me 'lying or stroking my e-peen'. It's simply a matter of some are better at puzzle solving than others, and when you play games as much as some people do, and understand the mechanics of a game, it becomes easier to predict how you need to play the game, whats likely to happen, and where you likely need to go - even if uncertain, or have no clue how to get there, you can still pick up the gist of the puzzle within a reasonable time.

My copy that I pre-ordered and payed £1.50 extra for 1st class delivery, especially to get it on release day hasn't turned up surprise, suprise

I hope you ordered it for a console otherwise you're a fool for not getting it for £24 on steam...

Either way, complain.

Don't rage because you're not as good at puzzle games at other people, it makes you look like a stupid immature kid to everyone else.

the only other 1 i can think of is Amazon but they are pretty quick with delivery times.

Yes it was from Amazon.

Not really a fool, I used a £15 voucher I got free from a lovefilm trial and a £15 voucher I had sitting around.
