**Official Portal 2 thread**

Looks like the trolling 'zomg day one DLC that is completely cosmetic, valve sux rated 0' comments on Metacritic have been overwhelmed slightly now.

94/95/95 official and 6.7/6.5/7.2 on Xbox/PS3/PC (respectively), down slightly from 96 and up from around 4.3.

And people question me when I say metacritic user comments are written by dribbling loons :p

I tried going to steampowered.com and accessing their support, but in order to get support I need to log on

What do you mean?

steam support is an entirely different account and not your steam account, you're specifically told not to use your steam details iirc.

infact on the support log in page half the screen is taken up by

People keep saying it's short but it took me 7.1 hours to finish (according to steam stats) and I loved every minute of it, now for a single player game that is good on it's own and then it has another full, different co-op campaign and is at least £10 cheaper than most games, I paid £40 for force unleashed 2 and finished that in less than 5 hours and it had no multiplayer.

Yeah, I noticed that about 30s after I posted :p But you caught my ninja anyway.

I blame a lack of coffee this morning :p

I don't get the people saying it's short, if anything it's probably longer than an average game. Steam is telling me that it took 11 hours to completion (8.5 for sp and 2.5 for co-op approximately)(was it really that long ). Also, since it's Valve we'll probably see some bonus content, not to mention the community maps.

The game itself doesn't feel long though since it's so much fun, I couldn't wait to see what was around the next test chamber.

I thought the game would have been longer, Steams saying 6.6hours so its more like 6.2 with loading taken off.

Exactly. I might have completed it myself in 7-8 hours but those were 7-8 of being glued to the thing. The only other games that have been enjoyable to keep me at it for that length of time have been portal 1, the gta games and i think before that.. cannon fodder

I am hopelessly stuck in test chamber 19. I have got the laser directed onto the first thing you have to light up and have the second cube for redirecting. But I dunno what to do now.

If someone could trust me the answer or something I'd appreciate it. Cant really go into spoiler thread without reading stuff I dont wanna know yet.

I spent an hour on TC19.

I won't give away how to do it though, or any clues. You will work it out. Working out how to do that chamber was one my best Portal experiences.

Walk around, look around, try different things out. If necessary, spend some time just to stand and think about different options and possibilities.

brilliant game! best of 2011 for me thus far. Valve have done such an amazing job on the charcters and story and have managed to breake away from just repeating test chambers over and over.

I dont play games for more than 2 hours at a time but i had to stop myself from playing this. Got to chapter 7 in one sitting. Last game that did that to me was ME2

im amazed at the trolls at metacritic

Its nowhere near as clear cut as this.

You cant just repeat the same old mantra of 'quality over quantity'.

There has to be a fair amount of quantity to give the quality any meaning in the first place.

As with Portal 2, It seems the only achilles heel it has is that fact, that make it too big and it starts to get a little stale, due to the nature of the game, which is why they have made it slightly shorted than a regular sp game, but tried to cram as much quality in there.

Which is great! I havent played the game yet, but I really want to, and im sure its fantastic.

However to charge full price for a short game, is a little bit naughty.

A fair price is probably around £25 and under.

They only charge £30 becuase of supply and demand.

i would have bought the game already, but again £30 is a little steep.
