Seems it needs 64 bit

Talking about PC-specific features in an interview with Destructoid, id’s Tim Willits said: “After we ship, you can download the SDK, but you need to have 64-bit.”

If RAGE is a Games for Windows title and does not require any other software to install other than activations (which most of the box art shows it is GFW title) then i might just purchase this game on this principle alone.

I think that latest video was the most impressive, both in terms of action and also the environment, lots going on and it looks amazing...can't wait.

Steamworks. You will need Steam installed to run Rage on PC.

GFW is just the label for Windows "supported" titles. Rage is going to be Steamworks as said.

I seem to recall it's been announced that it's using steamworks, so steam will be required for the PC version. No GFWL required :)

<edit> beaten too it due to connection dropping out</edit>

Oh ok, ta, must be an old RAGE anarchy box art still floating around on some websites. I was thinking it was like Crysis, Crysis was a Games for Windows title, you just loaded the game to your hard drive from the disc, activate it then play the game, no need for steam or gfwl. I'm old school, although i have had no major issues with steam or gfwl, i just prefer the old ways, like Bohemia Interactive's games. Not a big problem but it slightly irks me a tad to be asked everytime if i want to play in offline mode when i have set steam to run in offline mode hehe! doh!, lol. Plus i have just sold my steam and gfwl account, although i could set up another one or two i suppose.
