Because this game just keeps giving.

Steam problem mate...happening with all games in my library :(

Quite often reminded of Hellgate London with this game, subway town especially reminds me of the underground station hubs in more than just that they are similiar locations.

Apologies for not reading the whole 73 pages, I did a quick search. Is there a fix for the texture popping? I've just loaded it up and only just stepped outside and alread the texture popping is horrendus.

Specs in my sig.

Thanks :)

That'll be why then. The texture popping sorts itself out (at least for me) within a few minutes and becomes far less noticeable unless you're spinning around in new areas trying to make it load them slowly ><

I do agree about the Sniper Rifle. It doesn't really serve a purpose beyond the mini-mission when Dan gives you it and the Job Board missions based around it. Extreme range sniping is a rare thing and the Pistol with Fat Boy ammo is vastly superior at closer range. Plus later on when you get the 'grenadier' type enemies its quicker to just slap a Dynamite Bolt, Pop Rocket or HE Rocket into them and keep going.

Tone your settings down a notch see if that helps.

I haven't even played Rage and I know it's better. Hellgate London was an abortion, a complete insult to everyone and everything we call a gamer/gaming.

I made three separate attempts at playing Hellgate and not once did I make it past the POS first level. The graphics are pre-ps2, without exaggeration, everything about movement felt horrible, the whole thing felt like some pre-alpha pos indy game developed by no more than 3 people. What an absolute turd... to this day I still begrudge buying it even at the price I did, I could've bought a beer instead, which would've added so much more value to my life than this game did.

Urr... but to each is own I guess :D

Think your taking my post in a way I didn't quite mean it :P (EDIT: If you'd played more of hellgate you'd understand where I'm coming from).

Hellgate did very much feel like an alpha test of a game tho, but it wasn't totally terrible if you got a bit more into it, until you realised how broken the item/skill trees, etc. were in the long run and how much content was placeholders for stuff they couldn't finish - I did have a bit of fun in the middle ground of the game tho, between the bland first area and when you finally realise how pointless it becomes.

Ah that's fair enough man, I've had a few drinks tonight so I'm posting the first thing that comes to mind, I couldn't go any further because the whole thing felt so unpolished, but then I'm not really an RPG guy anyway.

Approaching this purely as an FPS though, I understand the similarities between this and Borderlands (which I love) but how can you complain about a 20 hour campaign? Are you guys serious? One of the reasons why I loved Crysis 2 was it's long campaign, that ended at just the right point before it felt repetitive, and not so early that it left you feeling disappointed and wanting more.

I'm kinda in the minority when it comes to liking Crysis 2 though I guess :(

In case anyone thinks I'm making it up about the sniper rifle:

Seriously. Both got hit in the head twice.

So the big bad guys with heavy metal helmets don't die until you blow their helmets off with the first shot. I'm not sure I see the issue..

Getting head shots is easy enough in rage, I don't want it even easier to kill things. And tbh, I'm not really looking for a realism shooter with rage. :p

I'm enjoying it so far, I wouldnt say its fantastic, but its one of the better shooters I've played recently.

The idea is sound, needs to be more Fallout in its game mechanics, but if it was you'd have the making of a really top game.

How is Rage with 6950s in crossfire and 11.9 drivers at the minute? I want to buy this on Steam but all the talk of technical issues with AMD users are quite worrying.

...i want to replay the level Mutant TV Bash, but i can't. Seems once you complete a mission then thats it.

Also i can't find an in game map ,usually the 'm' button grrrrrr .....
