!!**Official RAGE Thread**!!

Rage just looks to be very story driven, but with ability to choose the order in which to do some quests and side missions.

I wouldn't say it's an "ordinary" shooter, there's quite a few RPG elements like crafting, exploration, and obviously the side quests. I think it's a far cry from all the samey linear call of honorfield SP campaigns of late. :)

Can't wait. :D

From watching the sp gameplay videos of RAGE it does not appear to have large wide open combat space. Not sure if it's as open as borderlands?.

Are you talking about the gameplay being open-ended or if the combat areas are 'open' in regards to space to fight in?

You seem to be getting the two mixed up.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but John Carmack’s face (keynote vid pre-play frame) on the OP is absolutely hilarious.

I want RAGE. Seen the first 40 minutes and it looks brilliant. id are back! Hoorah!

I don't think it is as open world as Borderland for all the FPS parts, but that doesn't make it linear. :)

There's choice in the quests you do, and looks like there's some multiple paths through areas. It's certainly not going to be a case of "This way please, next level, this way, next level".

Borderlands had a story telling level? Is it a secret? ;)

Hmm let's see, quests to find random hidden tapes of a rambling scientist.

The planet's random military appears, sacred object, worst ending ever.

Yeah I wish it was actually a secret. :(

Yeah the ending was brilliantly lol-worthy. Gearbox should've given the Destroyer a trollface and left it at that ><

Well mine is turning up when ShopTo decides to post it. Before then I should delete some of my steam games and make some more space.

Well I just bought it, could have gotten it cheaper practically everywhere else but I have a quiet day tomorrow so will VPN un-lock the game.

Steam suggests 4 hours to pre-load, not bad I guess.

for anyone struggling to find a place to pre order...

OcUK have you covered.
