grrrr .. thanks to Virgins peak time capping at a download speed of 900KB/S i'll have this game downloaded by 21:30 tonight :mad:

After working through several fixes for the texture pop-in and crashes, changing the FoV and forcing Vsync to stop the appalling tearing, I finally managed to start playing.

Can't say I'm massively impressed yet, I've spent most of my time running between NPC's that anything else so far. Playing on max difficulty and really not having any trouble at all.

I am just getting the same problem now that has me stumped. I do get crashes between locations / transisition but have been alble to reload and get past them, not this time

this one crashes every time i try to enter "Shrouded Bunker" (second trip there)

which of course tells me nothing. I kinda like the game but all these problems are wearing my patience thin. Hope they patch it real soon.

It says its going to take 1 hour 20 to install from disc. Is that right?? I have an LG blu ray drive so its not slow!

nah should be around 15 - 20 mins tops.

Done some config editing and here is the before and after, I put it to 16k textures.

I must be one of the lucky few where the game seems to work fine for!

i7 950, GTX 460 with the BF3 driver package and it runs well. I notice very small amount of pop ups well only one place so far and not enough to be a concern. Nice and solid fps, little tearing if any really. Seem to get a little eyestrain through but all in all it runs fine.

I love the weapon models, that combat shotgun looks and sounds great!

I'll have a proper look at some config options next week, i'm going to be busy over the weekend so won't be able to play much anyway. Maybe there will be a patch by then anyway.

DLC bit I got and I also entered the key below the discs into steam. I don't see anything about anarchy edition though. How do I activate it? (it says anarchy edition on the box)

Is the ATI rage performance driver essential, as in a massive performance increase?

I just want to play the game and not have to deal with driver nonsense.

It's a really good game so far, just a shame there are so many technical problems with the game for others. For me? It's been great besides the low quality textures plaguing the visual side of things. Other than that it works flawlessly and I have that consistent 60 FPS they promised. This could have been a triumph for ID if they had just tested this game on the PC. I hear the Xbox 360 version is spot on. There should be some new drivers out today according to some threads on the RAGE forums so hopefully this should all be sorted very soon.

I updated my drivers to the ATI Rage one and have to say it did make a difference. vastly reducing the texure pop-in problem that so many were experiencing. I also addd a config that was posted on this thread (forgot the page) as well just in case. Only issues now are the odd freezing-for-a-second and the biggest pain for me, the crashes

mine runs great with phenom II 965 overclocked to 3.8ghz and 8800gt
with forced v sync on and the battlefield 3 beta drivers runs at 60fps i will try and post pics
