***Official Reading 2009 Thread***

Got my day ticket and im planning to not leave and stay there for the whole weekend!

I know you managed this at Download this year, fair play to you.

I had a friend who used to do this, he is a charmer and king of blag. This was back early 2000 festivals at Reading.

He used to blag his armband got torn off in some mosh pit and he would say he had a weekend ticket and his tent got broken into and would get given a full weekend wrist band. Some years he just crept in, somehow....

From what I saw last year at Reading, they have changed things quite a bit. Each day ticketer gets a different coloured/themed wrist band and they are all super, super strong.

When going in they always check wrist bands, how will you plan to get inside undetected?

Just interested to know :)

There are many different types of ways you can do this and get in, once you get your wrist bands checked flash a £20 at them and they take it...no questions asked.

There are always groups of people doing this, already on facebook theres a special group with afew 100 people doing the same, some targeting areas of the fence to jump any many other ways, a guys even built a huge wooden structure which he can move right next to the fence which allows people to quickly climb up it to jump over easy(It looks amazing).

wishing i went to one of these festivals :(

Meeeeeh, I'm quite happy this year not attending anything. Has been a while since I have but I'm cool just going to a few individual gigs instead. More personal, far less money and more enjoyment.

The lineups this year really didn't do it for me personally and I think this years Reading lineup is a complete joke. Worst it's been in YEARS.

There is always next year, look on the bright side :)

You can always stop and stay with friends in the campsite if any of your mates are camping, just to sneak around and stay there if good enough

What's the crack with people who aren't camping? Can you get into the camp sites during the day but have to leave at a certain time? Or is it just fully not allowed in?

I can't be doing with camping for the whole weekend but fancy going to Leeds on the Saturday for the dance tent, only problem is all the people I know who are going are camping and will be sat in their tents all day getting drunk so I'll be left on my tod lol

Well to get in to the whole place you have to have a wristband, and they quickly look if you've got one.

But once your in then your in to all the campsites, just not the arena.

So if you've got a day wristband you'de have to enter on the day your band is for then just stay in the whole place and not leave. but obviously you wont be able to enter the arena on any other day just the campsite.

Im so glad they released seperate early bird tickets as I rely didn't fancy getting up early on thursday and dealing with the hassle of finding a half decent camping spot.

mm bummer plans have been changed (not by me :( ) at last minute and now need to park a car, looks like the weekend permits are gone though :(

Has anyone used the sale section viagogo on the leeds site? My brother cant go to leeds anymore and i was going to ebay them for him, is viagogo more secure?

I'd like to know this as a friend is selling her weekend ticket, and has had no luck on ebay for some reason! (she had it up at face value, which is all she wants )

So just been looking at the lineup, who are people recommending from the smaller stages to go and see, the more relatively unknown bands?

Just listening to a few tracks on youtube and liking some of them, Dananananaykroyd sounding quite nice :)
