***Official Reading 2009 Thread***

DAMN! Living Daylights (mates band) headlining the BBC Introducing stage at 8.30, deadmau5 headlining the Dance tent at 21.45...not a chance in hell if I leave the dance tent to go see my mates that I'll get back in to a decent place :(

Shame as I haven't seen them in ages lol

AHHH!
I cant find car parking tickets anywhere online!! :(

Does this mean i wont be able to park, or can i get them when i get there?
Or am i being stupid and just missing them?

Ive just realised I fly back to the UK on saturday, which is the same day as The Prodigy are playing  Shame tickets are a PITA to get hold of now. Auction sites are selling them for about £80...dont fancy paying that just to see 1 band :(
Would make it nice and easy for me though seeing as I live in Reading!

"CAR PARKING
Car parking is included in the price of a ticket."

That's from the Leeds website?

With my company being opposite the festival, I can happily say it's been ****ing down hardcore with rain all day :D

Our shop is just up the A1 from Leeds fest, been pouring down all yesterday and most of today :D

Everyone who came in en-route to Leeds was buying extra booze to get through the crap weather. We win ;)

yay nice and sunny up her today :)

Final night in the hotel then a quick drive over to Reading tomorrow early morning.

In contrast, been pretty warm all day today and hasn't rained at all :)

There's hope yet lol.

If I were the Kings of Leon, I would never be happy with any of my sets.

BBC coverage has missed out Faith No More's one good song (Epic) on the highlights, get it together BBC.

Great weekend in general though we had the obligatory idiots burning everything in sight in yellow camp last night - they get a night away from mummy and daddy and it all gets a bit too exciting for them; really feel for the security and fire teams that have to deal with them.

Highlights were probably Bloc Party, Them Crooked Vultures and Jamie T. Bit disappointed with the set list decisions of the headliners though Radiohead was still goosebump inducing.

edit: How could I forget Brand New too! Epic set.

Got back from Leeds last night, pretty poor line up Saturday and Sunday imo.

Really enjoyed Friday but was ready for home after that, probably going to give it a miss next year after 3 in a row.

Highlights were Arctic Monkeys, Prodigy, Ian Brown and The Maccabees for me.

Just got back from Leeds. Highlights were Kings of Leon and The Prodigy.

Was really looking foward to Arctic Monkeys and they just didn't turn up really.
