***Official Rift Planes of Telara Thread***

Just hit 42. Loving the game tbh.

Do you not think the levelling is a little quick on this game? Was kinda hoping for a bit more longevity but people are hitting 50 before launch which seems crazy. Even 40s seems far too quick to me.

Levelling is only as quick if you play the game a lot.

I have been playing since headstart and am only 23. I work during the day and have stuff in the evening to do. Weekends, I play sport. So if you are not a student and actually do things the levelling seems fine to me.

So where should I be rolling a character for this? Bought it this morning as I couldn't resist after selling my WoW account last year. Taken rest of today and tomorrow off as the 30mins I played this morning seemed really good.

Yeah Shivermere is chocca which is good. Sometimes a little annoying when questing but it is nice to have plenty of people gather when the invasions hit.

I popped back into Meridian last night through the porticulium thing to find 30 odd active rifts and about 6 of the visible from the front entrance of Meridian. Looked pretty aweome.

Nice queue on Whitefall :o

Just got hime and started the download before heading out with the missus for our anniversary meal. Looking forward to giving this a try tommorow, hopefully the pvp will be decent. Split my time between this and wow should hopefully fulfill the gaming kick :p

Going to play the EN pvp server if anyone is across there

First impresssions of the game for you guys?

For me its fantastic!! Sat down for what was supposed to be a quick 15min tester before heading down the shops, next time I looked away it was 3 and a half hours later :p utterly engaging, the rifts are great! I find myself constantly darting about loking for another rift and getting involved in the events as they unfold. They aren't quite as wide ranging and epic as I hoped but I am only in the first zone so I am sure they will get larger scale etc.

Questing is same old as every game, yet to have a pointless pick up and run here quest though which is nice.

Class system is great, really think its a good idea how they have worked things and it gives you a lot of room to completely customise your class. I went rogue and despite a few peoples advice I just overloaded into all insane killing trees :D took assanation, bladedancer and nightblade and the damage I put out is awesome :D survivability is gash but its great in pvp when someone higher level than me comes pounding up expecting an easy kill and 10secs later they are trying to run away as I finish them off :D

Which brings me the final great feature which is the PvP. Such a nice change from wow, it seems (and I may be wrong) a lot more skill based. Im only level 11 and coming up against level 18s and I am able to kill them as long as I use my abilities right. Healing doesnt seem as OP as I heard as I have took out a few healers solo without too much hassle. It just seems so quick and action packed. The battles are brutally short and you can see people going down fast then whining but considering I have poor survivability I am hardly ever dying as I play smart rather than running forward spamming one key.

It may just be the novelty of the game but so far its been fantastic, have to go out now but I will certianly be back on later on this evening!

Called Bruude on the pvp server (forgot the name, its not the one all the Russians are flying onto)

edit: Whitefall I think the server name is
