Passed 30 minutes of RB at 4Ghz, finally! Had to lower the memory frequency from 3200Mhz to 2966Mhz. Voltage needed is between 1.375v and 1.417v, but i think it's mostly just below 1.4v.

Good one mate :)
Have you tried to find out why the RAM doesn't play ball? maybe loose the timings more and raise the voltage?

Quick X62 question. Did it fit snug on this board (c6h) with no "mods". Mine is very loose. But Temps on stock seem bugged :D but liquid temp 23 @ idle
I using the following:

Its a perfect fit for the kraken x62......

Very nice.

Currently working on a 4Ghz 30 minutes RealBench stable. Testing in 10 minute windows trying to lower my Vcore.

Currently @ 1.439v-1.464v Passed 10 minutes, will now lower further. Once i feel close to the lowest i will run for 30 minutes. Temps are not an issue.

Watch out for some of the voltage settings when overclocking. I found PL voltage up at 2.0v which seems a large increase from 1.8v.

With my memory set at 2400 or above, it did not matter how much volts i put through the CPU it would black screen at 3.8, 3.9, 4.0, 4.1 during a 1.hr test. Setting my memory speed to 2133 it could complete a 1hr run at 3.8, 3.9 and 4.0. did not test at 4.1.

handbrake is now on its long-anticipated 1.0 release, with more presets than you can shake a stick at! so, time for a new thread. use the download for 1.01 from the archives for comparison purposes

this time we're going from 4k down to 1080p using the "H.265 MKV 1080p30" preset, using the 1 minute long elysium 4k sample, which is the first sample at http://4ksamples.com/ as of this post

as before, go through the options->advanced, check a box to put a log file somewhere. also please check the box in options->video to disable quicksync decode.

near the very bottom of the log file with be a line that should look a lot like this
encoded 1497 frames in 369.99s (4.05 fps), 4036.02 kb/s, Avg QP:26.24
that's what we want to see, along with knowing your processor and speed, memory speed, and platform.

keep your log file just in case people want to take a look for troubleshooting/whatnot

Doing the above at 3.9 with memory set to 2133 it completed in 141 seconds for me, setting memory speed to 2400 it completed in 129 seconds and at 2666 it completed in 114 seconds. Memory speed seems to have a big performance impact with ryzen.

Interesting, I'll give it a try.

Currently testing 4Ghz @ 3200Mhz CL16 per @Panos recommendation. If it passes, I'll try the above.
