*** Official Ryzen Owners Thread ***

Guys, any reason why I'm seeing slower performance, FPS in Planet Coaster?

Ryzen 1700x, 16Gb of DDR4 @ 3200 14-14-14-34 with a Geforce 960GTX 4Gb (+120 core + 160 Memory OC) Fresh install of Windows 10 with all latest drivers.

My previous rig i5 2500k @ 4.1Ghz, 12Gb of DDR3 @ 1600 with the same Geforce 960GTX 4GB (+100 core + 100 Memory OC) Windows 10.

In both screenshots I'm running the same park and on average I'm seeing around 8-10fps lower than the i5.

Seeing 8-11fps on the Ryzen
Seeing 16-25fps on the i5

Any ideas?

I got something for You to try what I'm Using. Process Lasso works fantastic with Ryzen(at lest with windows 8.1) Set game priority to High and set it to use ONLY PHYSICAL CORES. You can try To set it so it uses only 1 cpu bank also.

I've given up trying to OC at the moment. I can run 3.8GHz with 2133MHz memory or 3.0GHz with 2933MHz memory.

For whatever reason, Ryzen won't let me have my cake and eat it.

I'm beginning to think I would have gotten more out of a 7700K :/

What's your memory and board? I'm at 3200 and 3.9 with the CH6 and gskill rgb

Asus Prime X-370 pro and Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Mhz CAS 15. It's single rank 2x8GB but Ryzen seems to really hate hynix memory.

If you can give these a go G.SKILL F4-3200C14D-16GTZ Trident Z Series 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz 14 14 14 34 1.35 V smanung i.c
worked off the bat for me in the msi tomahawk b350... or ask around what memory they got running @3200 on a asus prime 370 ..

I had those those are Hynix 2666 is max You will get out of them.

In my case Memory kit nr 4 yes correct 4 arrived. I can see those are Single Rank thats a good start. GOD PLEASE BE SAMSUNG !!!! I'm getting tired of buying and returning emmory kits Every ******* week..... But i wont spend 200 quid for 16gb kit its a ripoff !!!
All i want is kit that will work at rated 3200 and all 3 previous kits ware supposed to be single rank samsung's......

Someone here said. Thats why i ordered them from OCUK and see if its RANDOM ICs like 3 previous kits :(

Works great
Bought this for an AMD Ryzen system. Works fine at stock (not pushed it yet).

Can confirm that it is single rank, and according to AIDA64 has Samsung memory ICs. Potential candidate for overclocking in an AMD system.

Ah, right - Google turn up the human computer interaction thing for me, but I realised that didn't make any sense in context of ram :)

How long, roughly, would it take to test 64gb?

Probably too long. Coverage time with that much memory I'd expect nobody with a decent level of sanity to run more than 200-400% coverage. One instance per thread covering 90% of available memory.

That said, with that much memory Stress App Test is better, more stringent also. Test only needs to run for 1 to 2 hours. The same applies with this test to my initial remark, in that it might be a bit of an eye opener for some users running high frequency kits.

There should be a BIOS out soon that might sort out your issue. Asus have released beta bios based on the new microcode from AMD for the B350 board.

I was typing in the other thread but I will move into here with you lot. I am not very clued up with RAM overclocking so i may need a little help. I can get passed 2660Mhz at the moment so I am trying to get timing down (Not sure what to do) I am on 2660Mhz 13-13-13-34. Is there anything else I should do? Do I drop the 34 lower?

Ok so with RAM higher numbers are looser timings. What you have there are quite low. Try 2933 using 18-18-18-36 if that is successful you can try lowering. You may well be stuck at 2666 until bios updates arrive though.

I am stuck at 2666 until the new bios sadly. Would you say these timings on 2666 are ok?
