Anyone managed to get 4GHz on an R5 1600 at VID 1.135v? I can get to 3.925 GHz with 1.225v in the BIOS, which is AIDA stable 4 hours+, my other 1600 can't do it either, was supposed to have these finished this week but I want low volts as I am using the stock coolers on these until new cases arrive. :)
 
I got mine today. Crosshair 6 board, R7 1700 and the Corsair LPX 3200 ram. Waiting on EKWB AM4 fitting plate from OCUK before i install fully. At the moment its sitting on my desk with the stock cooler which looks cool! Seems faster just struggling to get things the way i like and im worried about tearing my i7 system apart.
 
The stock cooler is surprisingly good. Having adjusted the fan profile the temps are now in the 50's running the cpu at 3.7 on all cores at 100% for a while, in bf1 it maxes out at low fifties.

I was looking at a better cooler but not bothering for now. Only for higher overclocks at higher voltages does it start to struggle.
 
Strange one - just assembled new Ryzen build (1700x, MSI Titanium board) - Windows 10 installed fine, went to flash BIOS to latest version.

After reboot I noticed high temps with board reading 75 rather than the usual 55. Opened up Ryzen Master and CPU is @ 4.2, Vcore 1.6V. Shut down and reset defaults and now all normal, I wonder why flashing the BIOS changed those settings - prior to this everything was at stock.

By klooks of it its not that EZ to Fry them ryzen cpus. I must have booted with 1.6xx 5 times by now :P okc not intended but happens heh
 
What idle temps is everyone getting? Aida64 reports 35C for my 1600X with a noctua U12S cooler

Searching the internet and it seems impossible to find out what it should be but that does seem high to me
