Is there anywhere with a OC database to share/list our speeds and settings? i know overclockers.com used to do that back in the good old days.

Im stuck at 3900cpu, 3200ram on my 1700. Watercooled top temperature is around 45c so i would have thought id have more headroom.

I doubt the silicon at the moment can go any higher than 4Ghz (4.1-4.2 golden unicorn sample)

All I want for Christmas is some new Agesa BIOS updates so I can get my 3200Mhz ram working.

Not a peep from AMD since April on this....

AGESA 1.0.0.5 is out in the Gigabyte BETA BIOSes right now and adds many extra memory settings. Other manufacturers should start getting new BIOSes with this version soon too.

1.0.0.6 is on the way and will hopefully bring widespread memory compatibility.

As mentioned the issue with these is not temps it is the silicon. Most seem to hit a wall at 3.9 and no amount of (sensible) voltage can overcome this.

I emailed asrock support about it. They contacted their bios team who said AMD are releasing the new agesa update BY may 24th. But he also said their bios team then needs to integrate/develop then test it before release so no set date but I'd assume sometime later in June for all motherboard manufacturers.

Oh well. At least we know it's in the works.

ryzen will mature like a good cheese, that's for sure , but hopefully not a swiss cheese, I do not want any holes in my system . i never do beta's , not brave enough to be their guinea pig

It's not all that different from when Intel first released the X58 platform. Memory performed badly, bios's from different vendors were rubbish to poor, most could not get past 200 bclk in the early days. It was a platform that matured very fast and had all of us drooling over the clocks at the time.

Been using the AGESA 1005 BIOS for the Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 5 since it came out, adds a couple of nice features, still can't get my RAM over 3000MHz though despite being on the QVL :P

Same boat on a K7 . Have been able to fet 2933 from day 1 with it but no higher. Have hyperx myself

Odd question but I read somewhere that overclocking disables SenseMI, Is this accurate or just false ?

I thought overclocking only disabled XFR.

HI Gibbo!

A question from an another forum if you don't mind please?
Few of us talking about the Ryzen return/B-Grade ratio and we don't really have exact numbers to rely on, I thought maybe you can help us if you are allowed to share this information.

How many % of the Ryzen processors has been returned for any reasons since the launch, +- ?

I'm a happy proud owner of the 1700 from OCUK btw.

Thanks!
