** Official ** Season 2010/2011 Pre-Season thread

Bale, Krancjar, Rose, Walker and Dos Santos have all looked very good.

Prefer playing teams like this in pre-season who will offer a challenge than a load of lower league sides.

Harry out!

Out of the Europa League already is NOT acceptable.

This one for the Arsenal fans via rather witty blog; I'm taking a 'rather laugh than cry' approach.

Big Walrus (lady parts) Face said:
'I had to take David Dunn off for his own protection because the referee wasn't protecting him from the volatile nature of the Greek midfield just going straight through him,'

'We were disappointed in that sort of attitude in a friendly game really rather than playing football, they were intent on stopping our best player which meant it got a little heated at times.'

ARE YOU ****ING KIDDING ME?
ARE YOU ****ING KIDDING ME?

I've run out of smelling salts because of the sodding bloody hypocrisy from when the entire planet (quite rightly) lambasted the Dutch side for their style of play in the WC final, and now this?!

The way the pundits verbally masturbated over Spain because they tried to play football the 'right way' is in such stark contrast to how the very same men view Arsenal every week on motd. It's all such bull****

First leg: 17-18 August 2010
Second leg: 24-25 August 2010

This page is the bible for working out who Spurs might play.

So they could play anyone in the list starting with Fenerbahçe?

Really hope Spurs do make it to the group stages, looking forward to seeing them playing in Europe's Elite competition, having said that I bet they get put on the same night as us...

The pundits get annoyed with arsenal because they watch a whole season of it and I think that it is frustration more than anything. Arsenal playing well are an awesome sight, they just play very well a lot of the time without getting any reward.

Spain play the best football you are likely to see in a world cup and have been dominating and winning nearly all their games. The dutch tried to do their best to throw spain off their game and to do that they had to be really dirty. Difference is that spain win in spite of the other teams fouling etc wheras arsenal will be held to a draw.

Especially evident with england, but most pundits seem to be thick as **** and will lambast england if they draw or lose regardless of the performance but as soon as we win they are extolling our virtues. You cant expect too much from someone whos idea of commenting on a game is saying "They will really want to score soon to win this game." So they are drawing and want to win (as most teams do) which will require a goal so yes, well done, they will indeed want to score.

^^ Completely agree there, Should arsenal (and we will!) win the EPL or even the CL this season then they'll be a lot of hype about it more so then if Man U or Chelsea won. It's frustrating as a fan to see your team play so well without getting a result, or having to wait for the 90+3 minute to score a late header against a team like wolves (no offence) so i can understand the pundits frustration. However they do seem to change their opinions week in week out.

kind of like Spain in the WC group games - upto the opponants box Arsenal pass the other team to death with good movement and ball control etc etc - within 5 yards of the penalty area they seem to lose their way sometimes & want to get too intricate rather than just have a shot

Chiva Guadalajara 3 - 2 Man Utd

Not seen the game, only the goals. Hernandez played one half for Chivas and the other for Utd, scoring after 8 minutes for them. Nice little volley from outside the box.

Chris Smalling and Nani scoring for Utd.
