Do you mean curved edges like on the iPhone 7-11 or do you mean curved screens?
If it’s the latter then I sincerely hope not! The flat screen was one of the main reasons I moved to iPhone.
Curved phone displays are an abomination.
Ah no not curved screens... In complete agreement with you there. Just find the boxy design a sad case of form over function.

Yes fair enough. Aesthetically I do prefer the boxy design of the 12 however in the hand it’s a toss up. it’s my first iPhone so I have nothing to compare it against but I do have a couple of cases that ‘round the edges off’ so to speak and would probably say I prefer using it with those cases on.

It's been a while since I've been excited about an iPhone launch (I have an X - since release) however I'm really beginning to notice the camera shortcomings, especially in low light of the X. If I didn't care much about the camera, the X would probably be good for another few years no problem.

I'm pretty much set on the 13 Pro, will decide on memory depending on what the options are. If it's 128 / 512 / 1TB - I will opt for the 512. If the base spec is 256GB then that will be more than sufficient (I've managed, just about, with 64GB on the X).

Anyone purchased the official Apple silicone or leather MagSafe case for their 12 - how has it fared?

My silicon case is not wearing great so much so im gonna drop by the apple store and see about it being replaced!

I presume the phones will then be available to buy within 2 weeks of that! Currently on the 12 pro, and I have no real reason to upgrade, so will wait for the 14 most likely

I’m getting the new phone regardless because I’m like that. Looking forward to see what they come out with for the S7 watch, if it’s a major upgrade I maybe tempted to get it from S3 - the battery last a day comfortably so it’ll have to be a real game changer for me to upgrade.

Wouldn’t mind seeing a new M1X (?) 16’’ MBP to upgrade from my 2014 as well as it’s now classed as obsolete.

I have one of each, a red silicone and the black leather.
Both are overall perfectly fine although I do treat my stuff with a reasonable amount of care - even in a case.
The leather case has worn better than the silicone one though. I’ve managed to take a couple of small nicks out of the silicone case (don’t know how exactly) but there’s been no discolouration or anything like that.
The leather case is definitely in better physical condition but you also need to appreciate that the leather will ‘wear’, that’s what leather does. For me it adds character.

And for what it’s worth neither have developed the ring discolouration from the MagSafe charger that was highlighted early on

I had a brown leather case for the 11pro and it certainly acquired some 'patina' over the 22 months I used it. Managed to split the leather on the edge so I swapped out to another case.

I'm iPhoneless after selling my iPhone 12 Pro Max a few weeks ago. I'll be getting the 13 or 13 Pro this time around as I find the Max way too big. The Pixel 5 that I'm using is perfect for me.

Replace my 11 hopefully. I detest it. Nothing wrong with the speed and power, I could get away with it for another 3 or 4 years but I hate the size. The only iphone I've owned I've regretted.

Would go for a watch if they ever released a round faced one. Until then I will stick with my garmin.

Too big or too small?

Too big, hate it. Everyone said I would get used to it after having a 6 and then 8 but I can't. It's the only one that won't get passed down to my wife or son because they don't want it either. Power, camera, face ID perfect, size just wrong for my hands.

I do think the optimum size was the X/XS/11 Pro-5.8” versions of the iPhone.

While I’m pretty much a lock for the AW7, I think I can last another year with my 11 Pro. He says that 24 hours before the announcement… lol
