  • We’re rolling out a new WiFi signal strength feature over the coming weeks.
    • When connected to a WiFi network, your Sonos products will now show their WiFi signal strength in the Settings tab of the app.
    • Additionally, you can now find detailed networking information for a Sonos product connected to your WiFi network.
  • Bug fixes and performance enhancements.

Mine have rocked up.

Initial impressions are these things are hefty, on the large side and weight a fair bit. Stands are really nice and weighted also, to counteract the weight of the speaker.

Set them up as individual speakers first and listened to some Atmos music, have to say I was impressed. I have them positioned as surrounds, and played the music through the right rear and it genuinely sounded like the music was coming from all directions rather than the back right.

Then set them up as actual surrounds in the app. From the Dolby App (Xbox series X) the height is obvious straight away, where the Arc gave a little bit of height this whole setup gives clear verticality. The sound is incredible.

I fired up The Batman and watched the car chase scene and the sound was unreal. Also fired up my goto for height (Roma on Netflix, around an hour in) and the sound of the fire crackling was all around as well as above. It actually sounded like I was sat in a fire :p

Conclusion: was it worth the extra on top of the Ones I already had? Honestly probably not, there's no denying they sound amazing but the Ones were already pretty damn good. For my room size and setup id argue they're overkill.

Has anyone had any problems retuning Trueplay? Original tune was fine, but ive moved my rears and now I cant retune it just says "Cant communicate with your speaker" or words to that effect. The speaker (arc) is working fine via the app so no idea what's going on here :/

Tried rebooting the system, restarting my phone etc...no joy.

Anyone have ceiling speakers in a bathroom? We are having our en-suite redone. I don’t think Sonos do them so I was thinking of a Sonos amp and some decent speakers in the ceiling designed for bathrooms and wondering if there’s a go to.

I think Sonos have a collaboration with another company, Sonance, and they’re compatible with Trueplay too :-)

Thanks, I’ll take a look. I see Monitor Audio do some as well and I have a soft spot for British companies.
I Have monitor Audio in my Bathroom. Bought a pair and only installed one. Dont get stereo or Mono.. So miss a bit. I keep meaning to swap it out for a dual voicecoil speaker. But its another job on the list..
But it defo goes loud.

I’ve not been able to trueplay tune my system at all. 5 times I’ve tried it.

I either get too much ambient noise (the only noise in the room is from the Sonos) or I get not enough vertical movement even though I’ve bent down and reached as high as I can.

I had all sorts of problems with this in my newly built TV snug room. I thought it was maybe my iPad causing the issue but I think it was just because there was too much echo. Once I'd added a new fabric corner sofa and put a large rug over the majority of the wood floor trueplay tuning was way more reliable. I think they need to be more specific with the failure messages, just saying " to much noise" when you know the room is silent is really unhelpful.

The clap test is very basic but really useful. If you hear an echo, you know it's not going to be very good for sound.

I've had my Sonos stuff for a good few months now (Arc + 2x Subs + IKEA lamps surrounds) and just like the last time I owned Sonos stuff, I feel there's something missing.

There's just no punch from the Arc or Subs. They are fantastic for movie watching, but for music, they leave something to be desired.

I actually think the Sub Mini is a much better sounding subwoofer.

Would love to see a "pro" lineup of Sonos stuff including a sealed subwoofer with dual 8 inch drivers.

Edit: and can we please have satin finished for the subs!!!! I can't stand gloss :(

Do you also own a SONOS bridge? If you do, I would be interested in your opinion.

I use a Connect which is hooked up to an active 15" Sub, a pair of 10" mids with horns, kicks plenty hard enough when pushed :)

The Amp also works well when paired with the right speakers, great for doing in ceiling or garden setups, I think the newer model is twice the power output too.

I have a V1 connect. Which version do you have and have you compared it with other streamers? I've compared mine with £1000+ streamers and couldn't hear any difference. This may be down to 'old man ears'.

Having converted to dual subs with the Sonos stuff, I’d never run a single sub again.

I have seen, though, that Trueplay now works with the Amp and 3rd party speakers if you have them in a home theatre setup.

I’d lose out on a centre channel and Atmos, but I might look into this.
