Was tempted to mount our arc but we decided to have it on the TV unit as having it on the wall would've had the TV higher than we would've wanted it.

I'm really starting to get tempted to order the Sub. Love the arc but the bass is a bit lacking. My partner really isn't keen on having the rear surrounds as she thinks it'll make the place look ugly so until I manage to warm her up to that it seems the sub is the only thing I can get that can be hidden and should give a nice bump to immersion.

Anyone using the arc+sub? Happy with it? Was hoping to see a black Friday deal on the gen 3 sub but I don't think that'll be happening any time soon

I don't have the Arc, but I had the Playbar for about a year before getting the Sub. I've now got both together (plus surrounds) in our main living room.

The Sub makes a MASSIVE difference. It's not just about more bass. With the sub taking care of the bass, it allows the bar to concentrate on other stuff, so it gets much richer as well as deeper.

It's pricey, but worth it IMO.

Would you say that adding the sub was more immersive over adding the surrounds? I know the arc is only fake surround sound but it does a fairly decent job (but obviously not as good) at faking it. So wonder if a sub and arc would get me 90% of the way there

Yes. If I had to choose, I'd choose the sub over adding surrounds.

Does anyone know how to get the wireless Sonos speakers to work on windows 10?

I can't seem to output audio from the pc to them. The only way is to download the "stream what you hear" app and then add a new radio station in the Sonos program using the link and then there is a 4 second delay on what you see on screen to what you hear through the speakers.

To add to my woes once I've added the radio station it says that it's been added to my radio stations within tunein but that is just nowhere to be found.

The app I'm using is the S1 sonos program as I am unable to use the S2 program as the speakers are not compatible.

Any thoughts most welcome.

Fantastic price! Just waiting to see if they do a price drop on the sub. Tempted to get it direct from Sonos as they give a 100 day trial period. Though I'll most likely grab it from Richer Sounds as I'd know if I want it or not after 7 days and they give a 6 year warranty as standard

This isn't really what Sonos is designed for, and when it works there's a massive delay. The idea is you stream to the speakers what's in the Sonos App, which to be fair they seem to be making more confusing as time goes on.

And the big difference vs most, is that you're not streaming to the speakers - the speakers are streaming from (normally) the Internet. This means that the app is simply a controller and doesn't need to remain near the speakers (or even on) for it to work.

The other benefit of this approach is that Sonos is (to my knowledge) the only platform where you can stream 2 songs simultaneously from 1 Spotify account.

It's a wireless smart speaker, not a PC speaker. I wouldn't take my car to the local dirt bike track.
With today's tech and the need for decent one for all solution I feel Sonos could simply allow the application to become an audio out for the pc and play from that. I'd consider replacing my pc speakers with them if that was available as a feature

Sonos are missing a trick in my eyes and I'm sure the majority would agree. For example, I can connect my pc as well as other media devices to my lg soundbar connected to my tv
I suspect Sonos have assessed the market for Smart Speakers vs PC Speakers. In my experience your opinion is in the minority. It's a small use-case for a niche set of users.

The majority on a PC forum might agree, but the mass population probably wouldn't. Most of my friends don't even own a PC.
